People sometimes forget that the front desk isn’t their personal concierge, yet the staff still went above and beyond for us. Their patience and responsiveness made a huge difference in the quality of our stay. The restaurant exceeded our expectations — the food was truly top-notch. Fresh, flavorful, and easily some of the best meals we had during our time in Colombia. We also loved the presence of the rescued pups roaming the property. They added a warm, authentic charm to the environment and made the place feel even more welcoming.

The owner is lovely, the rooms are neat and breakfast is pretty good. Plenty of dogs and cats in the courtyard.

Its location is perfect—close enough to Palomino to go for dinner or shopping by tuk-tuk, yet far enough to enjoy peaceful nights surrounded by nature. The staff was impeccable, always attentive to every need. We stayed for five days and had absolutely no complaints. Their kindness and dedication made all the difference. The hotel’s private beach is a true sanctuary—no vendors, no noise, just the sound of the waves and pure tranquility. Every morning and evening, we took long walks to witness breathtaking sunrises and sunsets in this little paradise. And the food—absolutely delicious! The women in the kitchen are incredibly creative, making every meal feel like a home-cooked experience filled with love and warmth. My favorites: Ceviche de pescado and The Pargo Platero whit patacón and coconut rice. I left this place with a deep sense of nostalgia, knowing I will return. The level of well-being you experience here is truly unique. Thank you to everyone who made this stay unforgettable!

Wanneer je nabij Palomino wilt verblijven, en toch aan de drukte wilt ontsnappen, dan is dit De plek om naar toe te gaan. JabaJan hostel ligt op een bijzonder mooie locatie. Het hostel ligt aan de voet van de Sierra Nevada, midden in het woud aan een rivier die uitmond op een prive strand. De accomodatie is voorzien van veel extra faciliteiten als een chillruimte, een sport / yoga ruimte een activiteiten ruimet met een biljard, pingpong tafel, een dansvloer, bar.  Het hostel beschikt over een variëteit aan miziek instrumenten die een extra tint geven aanbde yoga sessies en het kampvuur. De maaltijden zijn heerlijk. De eigenaar zet zich voor de volle 100% in om het iedereen naar de zin te maken. Inclusief de dieren. Ik was onder de indruk van hun inzet om verdwaalde dieren weer een goede plek te geven. Wij hebben wat tegenslag gehad maar het personeel heeft zoveel gedaan om ons te helpen. De vrijwilligers geven een extra mooie kleur aan het geheel. Ik dank Vinnichio ook voor zijn enorme bijdrage. Die zal ik voor altijd koesteren. Wij hebben ons bevoorrecht gevoeld om hier te mogen verblijven. If you want to stay near Palomino, but still want to escape the hustle and bustle, this is THE place to go. JabaJan hostel is in a particularly beautiful location. The hostel is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, in the middle of the forest on a river that flows into a private beach. The accommodation is equipped with many extra facilities such as a chill room, a sports / yoga room and an activities room with a billiards, ping pong table, a dance floor, bar.  The hostel has a variety of music instruments that add an extra touch to the offered yoga sessions and the campfire. The meals are delicious. The owner is 100% committed to making everyone feel at home. Including the animals. I was impressed by their efforts to give lost animals a good place again. We had some setbacks but the staff did so much to help us.
