I've been told it is really safe here. There is security everywhere in the area and buildings. Guayaquil is an amazing city and I have never felt unsafe, but do be more than respectful and be alert, like any big city. The city and its people will treat you exactly the same.

It wasn't so much about the hotel itself (which was great) but the staff. I came in feeling unwell and without me asking them to I was brought a tea to my room. When I told them I'd figured out that it was an infection making me sick they came with creams and medicines for me to use. The sweetest staff ever! 💗
