Everything you need while walking the Camino; modern room with outlets near the bed, nice bathroom with hooks for the towels, great shower, heat works great, cafe on site, opens at 7 am, grocery store on site, with plenty of options, and if you don’t feel like going to the nearby restaurant to eat, there is a microwave, and the cafe will give you places and silverware. Friendly staff, highly recommended.

Dette hotel er fra 1500-tallet og var i sin tid feriebolig for en adelig familie. Bygningen er blevet omhyggeligt restaureret og er nu et unikt og elegant 5-stjernet hotel. Although I wasn’t travelling with my dogs I was delighted to find out this is a dog friendly hotel, it even had a dog friendly restaurant inside the hotel. The staff there very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent. There is nothing I could fault.

NH Gran Hotel Casino de Extremadura is next to the Guadiana River, 10 minutes’ walk from Badajoz city centre and Alcazaba Fortress. It offers free WiFi and houses the Gran Casino de Extremadura. The facilities are excellent, the room was quiet (with a nice view of the Guadiana river) and the location was also very good (close to the bridge that leads to the old town). But the highlight was the amicability and professionalism of its staff, particularly DAVID at the reception who went out of his way to give us a nicer room and much earlier than the standard check-in time. This is the attitude that differentiates certain hotel staff from others, and DAVID's attitude in pleasing the customer is rated at the top of his profession. I congratulate NH Extremadura for the quality of its staff, as represented by DAVID.

Denne feriebolig ligger i Valle del Ambroz i den nordlige del af provinsen Cáceres. Den har til huse i en majestætisk bygning fra det 17. århundrede, der i sin tid var et kloster. Second visit. Room had been upgraded and we liked the changes. Very comfortable room and dog friendly. Evening meal was set menu and great value for money. Breakfast was good. Staff all very welcoming and friendly. Location is fantastic. Will definitely return in future.

We had a wonderful stay at Encantos del Jerte. The place has it all. It is located in the center of the village next to the church and 1 min away from the river. It is recently renovated and has all the best construction materials and amenities, for example it has radiant floor heating! It is a beautiful sustainable gem in the heart of Navaconcejo. We also made use of the accessibility of the ground level apartment for my great grandma that is in a wheel chair. Felisa, the owner was very attentive before, during and after our stay and very understanding with our little kids’ needs. Navaconcejo is my mom’s hometown and I come back frequently and Encantos de Jerte will be my go to spot from now on!

Reserva Benazaire ligger i Herrera del Duque og har gratis wi-fi. Gæsterne kan nyde godt af en sæsonåben udendørs swimmingpool, en have og et fælles opholdsområde. Very clean and modern - quite peaceful and extremely responsive host. The pool is a massive bonus because it is a very hot area in August - 40 degrees. There are plenty of supermarkets to buy stuff that you need. The breakfast was ok ! Not sure if it was worth the price though.
