Gorgeous place Amazing staff that will go out of their way to ensure you have a great time We opted for the 3 course meal and they did up the table decor and the food so well. The rooms are spacious, the staff is well aware of the flora and fauna of the property. The guided walk towards their private waterfall and the pool area are all amazing

This is the most magical place I’ve ever stayed in, atop a mountain, surrounded by tea plantations, nature, pure tranquility. We extended our stay to 3 nights but I could have stayed there much much longer. This is such a perfect place to unwind and recharge, breathe in the cool mountain air and be looked after by a team of truly lovely people who work there. Things to keep in mind: - the property is only reachable by the shuttle they provide. It’s a 40min drive up steep hills and rocky roads. But don’t worry once you get there you will be greeted by freshly brewed tea from their plantation or a nice local gin. - if you are looking for hustle and bustle, this place is not for you - planters house is far away from nearby shops and any type of infrastructure. This is a place for nature lovers, who want to slow down, enjoy the peace, the greenery, mountains, fresh air. - food: there are no shops or restaurants nearby so you will be eating onsite. Food is cooked from fresh every day and they have several choices, both western and Sri Lankan, and it is truly delicious. - there are beautiful hikes you can do from the hotel and if you are adventurous enough you can walk 7.4km to Liptons seat, otherwise the driver will take you up there with the 4x4. - Try and stay there at least 3 night for the full relaxing experience.

As a solo traveler, I was searching for a peaceful yet luxurious escape, and the Presidential Suite at Andriyala Boutique Hotel exceeded all expectations. The exceptional stylish and comfortable accommodation and beautiful gardens complimented the stunning views to Horton Plains NP , Udawalawe reservoir and the south coast . You awake each morning to the sound of birds while during the day it is so peaceful and relaxing . Thankfully no aircon needed here since the very fine insect screens allowed windows to be open to enjoy the fresh mountain air. We stayed in the deluxe suite downstairs which now has an additional dining area , and there are 3 lovely rooms upstairs . See the gorgeous pictures online . You can take a dip in the lovely pool or the owner Munira can suggest and help arrange other activities in the surrounding areas. Having driven for 5 weeks, this was a perfect spot to unwind . It was lovely to chat with Muni who built this wonderful property and all the staff who extended friendly and caring hospitality . Our best stay in Sri Lanka . Thank you Muni!

Absolutely beautiful location and villa. I’ve stayed in a lot of villas in Sri Lanka and this is hands down the best. We had transport problems and the host and owner were so understanding and accommodating. One of the best weekends of our lives, would 10000% recommend to anyone.

Our stay at this boutique hotel in Haputale was nothing short of exceptional. Perched in the hills with some of the most stunning views I have ever seen, it offered the perfect mix of comfort, tranquility, and natural beauty. Michael and Ruwantha were incredible hosts—warm, genuine, and the kind of people who instantly make you feel at home. Their hospitality truly elevated our experience. The surrounding nature was remarkable, and Ru’s garden was a highlight on its own, filled with an impressive variety of plants that made every walk around the property feel special. The staff were always smiling and ready to help with anything we needed, creating a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. And the dogs! They were so friendly and added an extra touch of charm to the place. We stayed for three nights, and it simply wasn’t enough. This is the kind of place you leave already wanting to return. A true gem in the heart of Sri Lanka’s hill country.

We loved our forest pavilion room! It had such a lovely view and the room was very romantic and had everything you needed. The swimming pool was also great with an amazing view! Next time we’re in Sri Lanka we will definitely be coming back! They do a drink at 19:30 where all the guests join and socialise, we really liked that. The staff is also really friendly. We were travelling by tuktuk and had some problems and without hesitation the helped us and within minutes we were ready to go again.

The grounds of the hotel are enormous and beautiful. The hotel also has very few rooms so it is a very peaceful setting. Staff is very welcoming. The infinity pool is gorgeous and the views magnificent. Hotel grounds has a private waterfall (it's a bit of a walk away...) which is really nice and peaceful. Dinner was delicious

It is an amazing place! Absolutely beautiful scenery and feels very remote. We stayed in a forest pavilion (like a tree house) which we loved (despite it being very rainy!). We read lots of debrief about the animals / wildlife in the rooms but we did not have any. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. The pool is amazing and has the most incredible view! We walked down to the waterfall a couple of times but there isn’t loads to do so two nights for us was perfect.

By far our favourite stop in Sri Lanka, the setting is amazing, photos don’t do it justice. Every little detail is considered but not over the top. All the staff were very kind, friendly and made a real effort to make our stay as good as possible. Definitely do the nature walk to the waterfall and enjoy the infinity pool - probably the best we’ve ever swam in!
