My stay with Fonneke & Theo was excellent and exactly what I was looking for - remote, quiet, luxurious, uncomplicated. And thats what I got. I stayed for 2 nights and came back very relaxed. Everything is very well furnished, all around the property you find unique decor and well thought out design features. The room is very spacious and the bed is super comfy. I enjoyed the room service breakfast. As it is very remote, you do need a car, which I had, but for a full day I simply enjoyed the peacefulness, went for a walk and read a book by the pool. I can recommend for singles, couples or young families with small children (they do have a family house for rent).

Such a wonderful place to stay. Owners were very kind and welcoming. Very comfy bed; had fridge in a room, which is always a plus; water, coffee was available too- beautiful touch. Was very positively impressed with Solar dos Frades. The room was wonderful modern and spacious, as was the bathroom. Inês the host was extremely helpful and available at any time, other staff also very nice. The outside pool and jacuzzi space is amazing, just sorry I hadnt more time to stay.

We loved our stay at this place! It’s perfect for families, with plenty of things for kids to play with and enjoy. The space is big and comfortable — we were able to park one car inside the property and another right in front of the door without any problem. The village where the house is located is very calm and peaceful, which made our stay even more relaxing. The host was extremely helpful and kind, always attentive and very nice with us. We highly recommend it, especially for those traveling with children.

This hotel is wonderful, so friendly and helpful staff, everything is clean and there was a cosy fireplace downstairs and the staff made a vegetarian meal for me even though is was only meat on the meny.
