We had an amazing stay at Monte do Roque. It was the perfect place for a peaceful vacation after spending some days in Lisbon. The B&B is located on a farm surounded by fields with oak trees so we were able to go on some nice walks and hang out with the animals on the farm (thanks Veronique for letting us help out with the animals here and there ☺️). Veronique and Tom were great hosts, making you feel like a part of the family! They also had some great suggestions for day trips so we had a lot of fun discovering the nearby towns. The rooms were nicely decorated and the breakfast was great as well, it had everything we needed. We are looking forward to coming back in Summer and see how they improved further (and try out the pool as well since it was still a bit too cold)

The quinta is one of the loveliest places we’ve ever stayed at. The tranquility, charm, attention to detail, and hospitality are on a whole other level. Once you arrive, you snap into peaceful holiday mood within minutes. The hosts Andrew and Luisa make you feel like at home, while providing 5-star comfort and service. The pool is the perfect place to relax at, with a magnificent view off the hill. The castle up on top adds that last bit of Portuguese charm to the quinta. We were very pleasantly surprised - the photos really don’t do justice to how beautiful the place, the views, and all the little details are. If your dates are available, just go ahead and book!

Breakfast was home baked and presented several yummy options. The breakfast room is very beautiful and well decorated. We stayed there in December so it was very cold, but all the facilities were warm and cozy. The bedroom was warm at our arrival time, and even though it was located in a house with other guests it was quiet. The common rooms such as the old kitchen and living room were warm also, and nicely decorated. The place is exactly as a traditional Monte Alentejano and brought back a lot of childhood memories.
