Mama Tungu hostel offers a hot tub. You can play table tennis at the hotel, and the area is popular for hiking. We booked to stay here a few nights to unwind after a busy period of travel, which was a great choice. The staff are all lovely and helpful, the location is really peaceful with waterfalls and viewpoints ~15 minutes walk away, and the communal facilities are great (pool, jacuzzi, table tennis, ps5). We were given a free upgrade to a room with a balcony - the room felt like a hotel room, very modern and well looked after, with a bath and a hammock on the balcony. Food is decent and decently priced, and there are bikes to hire for $10 to do the Ruta de las Cascadas, plus you can book rafting, canyoning etc through the hostel. Bar on site too with beer happy hour and a separate cocktail happy hour later on, but it wasnt a party hostel (we stayed in June so high season, but it wasn't too busy). Ended up extending our stay by 2 nights - loved chilling out here

The whole fmly who run this hostal are very friendly & hospitable especially Veronica. She not only answers all my questions but also helps me to book a room in Cuenca. The room is clean daily & fresh towel change everyday. It always smells nice inside the room. The dining room with the waterfall view is the best. Hostal is near the center but very quiet.
