Offering ski-to-door access next to Ylläs Ski Resort, this property is 100 metres from the Iso-Ylläs ski lift. It features spacious rooms with a drying cabinet, wifi and flat-screen TV. Very nice hotel. Right at the bottom of the ski slopes (ski in). Ski rental within the hotel, as well as ski depot. For the family of four room could have been bit bigger, but staff tried their best to provide us with necessities. Staff was extremely friendly (receptionists, houskeeping and the restaurant as well), very accommodating (went out of their way to help us during our packing before the departure). Indoor pool with hot tubs was great for relaxation after the day on the slopes. We used the restaurant every day during the breakfast buffet, as wrll as dinner one. Food was of good quality and tasty, but variety could be maybe bit better. Overall enjoyable experience, recommendation for those deciding on skiing within the polar circle.

Lapland Hotel Äkäshotelli har en fantastik beliggenhed og er ideelt for både langrendsløbere og bjergvandrere. Very nice, clean and comfortable room, good breakfast and friendly staff. Am very satisfied with our stay here and would love to be back.

Saaga Ylläs Chalet 3304 ligger i Ylläsjärvi og har en balkon samt gratis wi-fi. Overnatningsstedet ligger 38 km fra Kolari Train Station og har en bar samt gratis privat parkering. A perfect little apartment conveniently located. It made our trip, when we could use the slopes and other activities according to our individual preferences, since nobody needed a lift or any help with logistics. I travelled with children (10 yrs +) and all of us enjoyed the apartment with its nice interior and extremely good level of equipment, including spices etc., in the kitchen (compared to previous chalets at Ylläs). Nice towels, sheets and extra blankets etc. all made the stay feel a bit extra and more like a hotel, which of course is a positive thing. Efficiently used square meters, but that's a plus rather than a minus from my perspective.

Nice small-scale hotel near Äkäslompolo. Great breakfast and especially nice New Year's Eve dinner. Basic, but comfortable rooms. Well suited for our trip focusing on skiing and winter sports.
