Dating back to 1854, the award-winning Holly Lodge Guest House with FREE off site health club is quietly situated in the center of Windermere. The property was lovely, warm, clean with great facilities. The staff were so helpful with places to go for food. The location was within walking distance to Windermere.

Quaysiders Lakes Resort - Quaysiders Club ligger ved bredden af Lake Windermere at Waterhead, en kort gåtur fra landsbyen Ambleside. Waterhead har flere barer, restauranter og caféer. We had side by side rooms to fit our family of 5. The rooms were well equipped with dishes. We also appreciated the extra seating so that we could all hang out in the larger room to watch a movie. The location was great. Easy walk to a Roman Fort, the lakefront, pubs, and also walkable into Ambleside. Our kids loved the hot tub. Staff were friendly.
