They are happy for you to bring take away meals in and provide plates etc. lovely atmosphere in a historic setting.

The leisure spa at The Quaysiders Lakes Resort - Quaysiders Club has a small heated pool, a sauna and showers. There is also a barbecue area and laundry facilities available. Rooms were beautifully and comfortably furnished, with all amenities required for a quiet weekend away. The facilities are impeccably clean, tidy, and well maintained. It was wonderful returning to a warm room at the end of many a cold, rainy, and blustery day. Kate, the general manager, went above and beyond with ensuring we got the keys even after the reception was closed -- we were very grateful to her for that. Location is excellent, just a stone's throw from the waterfront and with excellent food options nearby.

Very friendly and helpful owners, good beds and great breakfast. The cold buffet plus the many freshly made breakfast options cover every dietary requirement, be it vegetarian, gluten free, allergies, etc. St. John's Lodge is only perfectly situated, it is only a short stroll from both the centre of Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere.
