When we booked this accommodation it seemed almost to good to be true. But the villa surpassed our expectations. Beautifully located on the southern part of Carabao Island overlooking the see and with a view on Boracay. There was plenty of space and everything was very clean and in good working order. The pool was nice especially for sunsets. The spacious terrace was the best place to be, with always a refreshing breeze. Our host Rose is a gem. She picked us up from San Jose and did eveything to make our stay unforgetable.

The place is run by the very nice and helpful Filipino/German couple Marevic (Marie) and Uwe. They will help you in organising everything from a day trip to Cresta De Gallo (for 3500 pesos as of March 2024) to the transfer back to Magdiwang if you have to catch a ferry to leave this spectacular yet relaxed island. Two well equipped and modern bungalows in a beautiful garden make you instantly feel home away from home. Marevic handles everything food related and Uwe is the facility manager. Even if there is a brownout on the island: no worries, solar powered batteries will take care of the situation. So you will never be long without light - or Wi-Fi… 😉 Don’t forget to try the homemade icecream. My favourite was Ube (some slightly salty sort of beetroot in a deep purple colour). The continental breakfast is delicious and after weeks of instant coffee I especially enjoyed the filter coffee. The bread with jam was also very nice. My favourite for dinner was the tasty burger. The meals can either be enjoyed on your own patio or in a bamboo shack right in front of the beach with Cresta De Gallo in the distance.

We came to Romblon because of its reputation as an excellent place for macro and super-macro diving. We chose the Sunset Cove Resort, and we were delighted by the professional dive center located at the resort. On top of that, their chef is a culinary genius, the swimming pool is lovely and cleaned daily, and the rooms are spacious with great design and are kept tidy and clean. This is a very small resort that really knows how to treat its guests - it’s very much a hidden gem!

A good location for a hassle-free holiday in Ferrol, Tablas Seaview Homestay is a guest house surrounded by views of the garden. The accommodation features a hot tub, free WiFi throughout the property and family rooms. Andreas and Olya, the managers, went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable throughout my stay. They arranged transport for me to attend my son's wedding and picked me up at the end. Olya is a great snorkeller and knows the best spots to do this. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. The facilities met all my needs along with the amazing views from the hotel. They have a swimming pool, gym and sauna and jacuzzi on the top floor with amazing views all around. It was very peaceful and I would highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone. I know they would love it. The rooms are spacious and clean and many towels are provided. The menu choice is extensive and enjoyable too.

I really recommend it to everyone.
