This place is simply amazing. The tents are super nice and clean provided with mosquito nets and air conditioning. Private bathroom as part of the tent. The staff is very friendly and you can easily connect with other people during game drive or at the camp fire. Game drives were fantastic! We have seen all the big 5 and our guides Karabo and Floyd are very knowledgeable. We also really enjoyed the food. The star is the braai (bbq) which offers options for meat lovers and vegetarians. I was surprised how good the oxtail was. The starter soups are also amazing. Vegetarian options were also available on request. Potential allergies were requested beforehand. For breakfast my favourite was the omelette, but other options are provided as well. Besides all of this you can enjoy the pool surrounded by birds between your game drives and in the night time, the sounds of the bush (yes we heard hyenas while falling asleep, but no need to worry, all is safe as a fence separates you from the wild animals!). Don’t forget to loop up at night and enjoy the clear night sky full of stars from the entrance of your tent. Brendan has been super useful to assist us with the tour booking to Sabi Sand

Our stay at this lodge in Kruger was absolutely incredible! The place was even more beautiful than in the pictures. All the staff and the manager were so welcoming, kind, and professional. We joined their safari, did a guided walk in the park, and had relaxing massages, everything was amazing! Our room was spotless and beautifully designed, and all the food was delicious. We truly enjoyed every moment here and highly recommend this lodge to anyone visiting Kruger!

Hos Umkumbe Bush Lodge - Luxury Tented Camp i Sabi Sand Game Reserve er der udsigt til en have, en udendørs swimmingpool, en have, et fælles opholdsområde, en terrasse og en bar. Amazing people and amazing place! They treat you like family and the food, omg, so good and homemade, best bobotie ever! The bed was very comfy and the facilities in general were great, also having the swimming looking out to wildlife, so nice! Highly recommended, especially staying in Sabi Sands, we got to see so many animals and super close. We will be back for sure. Thank you very much for everything.

Above the amazing food and drinks, stunning views, beautiful tents / cabins with lots of details, fun game drives, etc. the team really cares about you as their guest - we appreciate the consideration of dietary restrictions, time for questions before arrival and kindness during our stay. The team also has an incredible know-how which was great for our first safari experience. thank you!!

Ngalali Retreat ligger i naturreservatet Grietjie, 26 km fra Phalaborwa-porten til Kruger Nationalpark. Lorenza and Xander were amazing hosts, and it was great to spend time with them and their puppies. They catered to our every need during the stay. They even arranged for us to go a sunset spot for champagne on one of our game drives to celebrate our honeymoon! Helen was such an attentive server as well, delivering beautiful meals. We were somewhat picky about the timing of our meals, and we worked with the team in advance who was able to cater to us with no issues. They even gave us a choice for lunch when we arrived on the first day, and when we chose a salad, they delivered a mountain of fresh vegetables such as avocadoes and courgettes, paired with delicious olive oil. We of course were treated to home made pasta at night, as well as a braai with a tomahawk steak on our other night. Ngalali is located on a private reserve which makes driving to the game drives convenient. It was also much less crowded than Kruger. There were lion cubs staying in the private reserve, and we were able to see them waking up just next to our car during our last game drive. But the best animal viewings were honestly from the hotel itself. Two giraffes were just in front of the gate when we first arrived, and we were welcomed by a herd of elephants and their babies playing in mud as we were having lunch. On the last day, a herd of about 150 buffalo were running past and we could see them from the gate!

Everything was amazing, from the staff reception, the comfort of the room, the safaris, the taste of the food, the presentation at Saturday dinner and especially the elephants in the pool.

Staying in Lion Tree Top Lodge was an exclusive experience of our vacation. Starting from hospitality of lovely hosts and extremely delicious food from the chefs, to the lodge itself and all the atmosphere and animals in the surroundings. Magical! Hosts did organise game drives for us, which was very convenient . We absolutely recommend this place to everyone going to visit South Africa. Greetings to Savanna!
