This hut is privately run by a family from Nepal. Our stay there felt so very peaceful, and the food was lovely. The location is absolutely beautiful. Really enjoyed being there. We hiked down to Hallstatt from there, and the trail was very well maintained and offered amazing views.

We have enjoyed the staying in the hotel a lot. Hotel services are at the high level. Staff is friendly. We had half board with all inclusive drink option. We recommend this combination for all who want to do treks in the country around. Meal was good - no disappoinment. Moreover, a few meals were super exceptional - paella with seafood, and nougat balls with fruit sauce. I can't ommit mentioning and recommending wine. Wine was good

The friendliness of the staff, very good kids activities. Despite being very kids oriented, it had the quiet vibe. We got dark room on very noisy site and we really appreciated the upgrade for the following nights. It was just perfect. We and our kids loved it all. Food was great, bfast awesome.

We are glad that we can stay in Hallstatt for 2 nights to...

We are glad that we can stay in Hallstatt for 2 nights to explore the charms of the town. We arrived on Christmas Eve and it was so busy with tourists. We have to wait for an hour to get lunch at restaurant as it was fully booked. But the restaurant service is quick and food is satisfying.

Obertraun is a very small town opposite Hallstatt lake. Peaceful quiet place for us to explore by walking around . We found fresh beers & good food in pizza restaurant, hotel resort for dinner, and a bakery shop for a quick breakfast. And bus ride conveniently brought us to Hallstatt.

Mesmerizing views all around and one can spend quality time over here. Very well connected with public transport and can move easily to any tourist attractions. Surrounded by natural beauty, away from tourist crowd and very scenic.

Excellent for bigger group (we were 5 parents and 8 juniors - schoolmates). Spacious, well equiped kitchen, living/dining room as a meeting place.... Nice place with lookout to Loser. The only thing we would do differently while building the cottage - the upper bathroom might had been divided into two part - one for shower and the other one for WC, there is enought space for that. But, thanks to the other bathroom on 1st floor.... We would definitely recommend....

The scenery is beautiful and I'm sure even more beautiful in the summer when the sun is shining. It is a compact town with many tourists. Austria has so many beautiful little towns that we won't go back to Hallstatt. I'm glad I saw it but a half day is plenty, if you can find a place to park. The nearby salt mine tour in Altausee was a lot of fun and very informative. The salt mine and overlook in Hallstatt is closed in December 2025. It looks like they may be putting up a cable car lift to the top. Check before you go.

We travelled with 3 different trains from Vienna to...

We travelled with 3 different trains from Vienna to Obertraun in order to visit Hallstat. Unfortunately, the transportation wasn't very convenient for us. One of the trains that we had arranged was late and we had to wait two more hours in order to get the last train to Obertraun. We departed from Vienna at 8:00 and we arrived to Obertraun at 15:30! Obertraun was very close to Hallstat. Hallstat is a magical place but next time I would prefer to visit it by car.

The accommodation had great view and the balcony was so Cousy, I could sit whole evening there to spend some quality time. The location is beautiful and relaxing. My kids enjoyed lot. Special thanks to providing such a variety of toys and activity stuff for kids, they really got occupied with activities while at apartment.

Being surrounded by mountains and walking trails. I think Gosau is known for skiing in the winter but we were there in mid September and the weather was perfect for walking along the river and lakes. Cool but sunny

Lovely village to visit for a couple of days.

Lovely village to visit for a couple of days. The lake is wonderful to go boating on. Hopefully the cable car up to the top of the hill is working soon. The hike is suitable for young adults and up to fit 70 year olds. The food eatery are lovely but check out the ones behind the main street.
