Excellent property with real character in nice and quiet area. We had two dogs with us and there was a plenty of space to walk them. We loved the hotel but staying only for one night we didn’t get a chance to make the most of what it had to offer. Clean, spacious, excellent food, wonderful and helpful staff - especially lovely Julia who put our personal things (food) in the hotel’s fridge over night. Small shop in the hotel allowed a purchase of a local products We would love to be back there again!

Extremelly beautiful and breathtaking location. Staff was super kind and friendly. The room are super large and well furnished and facing in the garden was amazing! We had a dinner and was good, typical flavors and clean taste, love it. Breakfast as well deserve the moment after a good sleep. Highly recommendedd.

I will avoid the cliché "very good value for money". Not that it wouldn't fit, but because it wouldn't fully explain our stay at Wiengut Taggenbrunn. I think that the owners bought the fortress and the surrounding domain and pumped huge sums of money, not as a simple investment that seeks profit. In this case, the owners simply found a way to "deposit" the money in a property located in a good, traditional location. They bought a dilapidated fortress and created a fabulous, stylish and tasteful domain around it. The decision to share this domain with the rest of us is commendable. Why am I saying this? The prices charged maybe for visitors can be good from the "very good quality-price ratio" perspective. But from the perspective of the owners, is not profitable. They will not get the "recovery of the investment" in this life. That's why such initiatives deserve praise: these people deposited their money in a property without looking for immediate profit, they arranged all the things with a lot of work and passion. The rest of us just enjoy such jewelry at normal prices.
