We love Saas-Fee and tend to visit once or twice a year. Our usual hotel had been sold and shuttered, so we needed to find a new place to stay. We have passed by La Gorge several times over the years and thought it intriguing, so decided to give it a try. We were absolutely delighted! It is a family run boutique hotel that has been newly renovated. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the gorge and river. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming- we look forward to visiting again!

“The personal care and support of our guests is one of the most valuable things for us as hosts” We can testify, that they meant it when they put that statement above on their website. So, We were on mission to find a beautiful small mountain village in Switzerland that was not over crowded with tourists. After searching, we ended up in the beautiful mountain Saas fee. Happy to say, we made an excellent choice with Elite Alpine Lodge. First of all, the service was wonderful. From the day we arrived to the day we left, we experienced nothing but the best care from both Sybille and Pesche. We were picked up by Pesche and their sweet dog at the bus station in an electric taxi ( all that can be used in this town). As we arrived to their adorable boutique generationally owned yet recently updated hotel l, we were warmly welcomed by sweet Sybille. Her enthusiasm and love for her guests was felt right at our first encounter. By the end of our stay, we felt like we gained a family in this little town of Saas Fee. Thats how beautiful our experience was. Secondly, and just as important,the room was large and well appointed with beautiful mountain views and a very modern mountain sleek architecture. The welcome fruits and the welcome drinks upon arrival were such nice gestures. Last but not least, The breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The eggs were made to order. We enjoyed the beautiful m mountain view and our conversation with Sybille every morning. We recommend this mountain hideaway spot to anyone seeking a winter wonderland getaway. Our stay at Hotel Etoile in Saas Fee was an excellent ski experience combining comfort, convenience, and a stunning alpine setting. It was a fantastic choice for our ski trip. The location in the quiet and sunny wildi area was perfect for a peaceful stay while still being within a short 5-7 minute walk to key spots like the bus station and skiing. The hotel provides free transport by electric car on arrival and departure, making check-in and check-out effortless. The fantastic staff was a true highlight. They were very welcoming and accommodative plus provided great recommendations. The standout employee of our stay was Fedee. She was the most helpful and welcoming hotel employee, who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, making our experience at Hotel Etoile truly exceptional. The included breakfast was a great way to start the day, offering a good selection of fresh bread, pastries, cheeses, cold cuts, eggs, and cereals. The quality was excellent, and the cozy dining area made for a pleasant morning atmosphere. Plus, after a day in the mountains, relaxing in the outdoor hot tub was the perfect way to unwind.
