Clean rooms, beautiful design and artwork, the owners are so nice and helpful. Outstanding view of the city from the room, but very quiet because it is on a hill 5 minutes from town. They have the most sweet and friendly cat. The breakfast was outstanding, everything fresh and delicious- it was breakfast and lunch together. Eguardo speaks excellent English. Just stay here!

The location is great. The building from the outside looks a bit worn out but the inside is in pretty good shape. The rooms are not large but sufficient. The view priceless! The breakfast very good. Great location and the basicilica within a few hundred meters walk where there are plenty of good restaurants.

It was a very convenient location to the ferry dock. We arrived late and there was no issue getting into our room. The room was clean and comfortable and just what we needed after the 14 hour journey from Puerto Cisnes.

Actually not much. Definitely did not enjoy the statements about silence at 2200 ignored by all with loudness until 0100. And the fact that the walls are so thin that the man snoring all night kept me from sleeping.

Castro is a basic Chilloe town.

Castro is a basic Chilloe town. There is walking around the estuary and a beach on the opposite side. The national park with a board walk walk is 30 minutes drive. There are a couple of good restaurants. Two days was plenty of time

It really small and there is no tourisme agencies. It’s better to stay in Castro and take a bus if you want to visit the National park (it’s the only touristic thing you can do), ther is buses every hours normally.

I'd been to Castro several times, but this was my first...

I'd been to Castro several times, but this was my first during high season, and I'd advise travelers that unless you like sitting in backed-up traffic ('taco') for long stretches, just avoid Castro from mid-January to late February, when trying to drive from anywhere north of Castro to anywhere south of Castro can take hours. November-December are great, however, and I'm told March is the best month of all. By and large, Chiloé's charms are not to be found in the cities.
