Amazing local hotel / homestay for a quick retreat. Location: slightly out of central town in Yangshou (5min drive). Personally this is exactly what we wanted, a mini retreat to relax. Several restaurants including a restaurant built into a cave right nearby. Rooms: we stayed in a mountain view king room which was awesome, 'instragrammable', spacious with big bathtub, adjustable AC, and projector tv. It was very clean and modern with top to bottom glass windows so you wake to a beautiful view of mountains. Staff: This isn't a chain or resort, so the service is more personable. You'll become acquainted with them in no time. Promptly responded to WeChat messages. Very friendly and extremely accommodating. We had a issue when we first checked in with some construction noise - which the staff immediately addressed and this was greatly appreciated. Food: 'Western' style restaurant serving comfort food which was good and honestly a nice pace chance having travelled china for several weeks now. Cafe: perhaps one of the highlights is the treehouse cafe on level 5 - which has stunning views and great coffee. Value: room was on the expensive side compared to other places we stayed in China, albiet we booked the most expensive room type. We definitely got what we paid for. Other: the pool was out of service during most of our stay but personally this isn't something we'd use anyway. they also assisted us to use the laundry which was great as laundries seem hard to find in mainland China. Throughout our time here, we only had to leave the hotel once really, to go watch the Impressions show. Everything else was well catered to by the hotel or it's near surroundings. Would strongly recommend staying here during your visit to Yangshou, especially if you're looking for a place to get some rest and recovery.

Excellent hotel - location, service, home-cooked quality fresh cuisine using home-grown vegetables and fruits. Fresh juices for breakfast - watermelon, melon, orange - mmm... Free bike rental and magnificent bike paths around the lake through the most beautiful places. 10 minutes to the city center by taxi, fast and cheap. The view from the room window and the view from the roof at dawn are a spesial love! A lot of thanks to the entire staff, including the owner Michelle, Lilly. A superb hotel well situated in a small village, but with easy access to Guilin city. Located in a quiet, peaceful setting, the village has many facilities and you can easily walk to the neighbouring villages following the nature trail, with no cars to worry about. Delicious food is available at nearby restaurants, all within a short walking distance of the hotel. The staff are fantastic; really helpful & lovely people. They provided us with many ideas for days out exploring the local area. The breakfast is delicious & hotel facilities are excellent. The hotel staff kept our luggage safe, for free, while we went off for a few days to explore other parts of China. Everything about this hotel is exceptional.

Had an amazing stay at Bonjour in Guilin! The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful, making us feel so welcome. Our room was comfortable and beautifully designed with a modern touch. The bath overlooking the mountains was a highlight, as was the rooftop with stunning views – perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Guilin!

Everything! The room was super beautiful with a nice view over the lake. All the propriety is really well maintained. Outside you can really relax and enjoy peaceful moments.
