Due to our jobs we get to stay in 5 star hotels multiple times throughout the month and one could say, we can truly judge when it comes to comparing and rating hotels. Vayu Retreat Villas was very special from the second we arrived until the moment we had to leave. The owners made us feel welcome and treated us like family. They were very attentive and made our stay an outstanding one. Everyone is really friendly, from cleaning/gardening to kitchen staff. Food was delicious, whether it was for breakfast or dinner. The suite really met our taste when it comes to design choices. Their eye for details, providing good coffee, umbrellas and any service you could possibly need before even asking is excellent. Best part was the private terrace overlooking the surrounding nature. This place is really peaceful and lets you relax from whatever stress you might have had.

Hotel Huacas is a wonderful new place to stay in Huacas, Guanacaste! The rooms and property are very clean and look great — everything feels fresh and well taken care of. The owners are incredibly kind and go out of their way to make you feel at home. You can really see how much they care about their guests. Lapazul is an absolute gem—easily one of the most memorable places I’ve stayed at anywhere in the world. The views are simply breathtaking, perched high in the jungle with the ocean in the distance, and the chance to spot local wildlife adds to the magic. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and have everything you need to truly relax. But what really sets Lapazul apart is the top-notch hospitality. The warmth and attention to detail from the staff is among the best I’ve ever experienced—genuine, personal, and truly caring. Special mention to Mr. Jorge, whose first-class service and warm presence made us feel incredibly welcome. He is, without a doubt, one of the best hosts I’ve ever encountered at any hotel in the world. And the food? Outstanding. Every dish is full of flavor and heart, far surpassing the local restaurants in town. The menu is focused and perfectly executed, with ingredients that shine. You can taste the passion in every bite. If you’re looking to disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature and comfort, this is the place. Plus, it’s just a short drive down to the beach at Dominical. I can’t recommend it enough.

Fantastic stay of 3 weeks at this wonderful luxury lodge boutique hotel. The owners who run the place are extremely friendly, helpful and provide really great service, making you feel at home. You can tell they love what they do. Breakfasts were fabulous, rooms were tidy and clean, comfy beds, outdoor shower is a great touch. The location is perfect, easy drive to tamarindo and nestled in a quite relaxing environment out of crowded areas. Close to various other beaches and easy to get to main roads for sightseeing. Overall a great experience to repeat.

Tucked into a side street within walking distance to the surf, it's the perfect place for any surf, or other, trip to Pavone's. The staff is super friendly, everything is super clean, and the place is equipped with everything you need. Highly recommended.

Sometimes people can’t be bothered to write reviews , however having such a wonderful stay with the fantastic staff and owners we feel obligated to try to put into words what a truly magnificent time we had at the Paradise Lodge Apartments. What a fantastic place and it all started each day with a wonderful breakfast. First a plate of fresh fruit picked right from the property, then a choice of omelet , scrambled eggs, sunny side up, or simple toast and jam made to order with a delicious side of rice and beans, fresh avocado, queso frito, and bacon. plus orange juice and delicious Costa Rican Coffee. From the moment we arrived the hospitality was excellent, taking our bags from the car to our super clean and spacious room and making sure we had everything we needed. The apartments are in side of a gated property which will give you a strong sense of security and safety, with ample parking very close to the rooms. The property is aptly named as it is truly a slice of paradise. From the little porch outside the rooms to the beautiful grounds and swimming pool every detail is spectacularly maintained. We wish we were able to spend more time on the property which I am sure we will do next time as we had some business to attend to on this trip so we weren’t able to enjoy the property as much as we would of liked. We did however find the time to explore the beautiful property including the shorter of the trails that go around the property. We just cant say enough about the fantastic time we had at this location. If your going to this area of Costa Rica stay at Paradise Lodge…. You wont regret it….

Beautiful rooms with private pool with view to the rainforest. The entire resort is very clean with the pathways cleaned up frequently by the crew, and we spot wild sloth and monkeys in the resort without needing to go out. All the staff were very friendly. The restaurants were great and the food was amazing. Love the golf carts that could shuttle you to places in the resort, the turn down service in the room, and the daily free yoga classes. All of these made the stay simple exceptional and truly special.
