This is probably the best hotel on the island of Santo Antao. The whole thing makes you feel like you're in a castle. The owner is very helpful, she takes care of every detail of your stay. Although my room wasn't perfect I got a better room for the same price - for which I am very grateful. From the hotel you have an ideal point for mountain hiking to any place. Breakfasts are very tasty, everyone will find something for themselves. Erick was very helpful and always smiling during meals. This is an amazing place and an amazing island. Obrigado!

The Oasis was very appropriately named, tucked away in a garden of papaya trees and lush vegetation. The location was excellent for hiking on the mountain trails. There was car parking close by in the town square. The rooms were comfortable and spacious each with a balcony overlooking the garden. The breakfast was delicious with fresh papaya each morning, home-made cake and plenty of coffee. The hosts were extremely attentive and helpful, sorting out transport for us to return to the ferry when we left and serving our breakfast early.

Residencial Mãe Nona features accommodation in Ribeira Grande. The hotel has a terrace and mountain views, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar.

Clean and really nice facilities. Great views, a community swimming pool around the corner. Local business ran by a very sweet family. They also have a restaurant with the best chef and food we’ve met in the island! You can walk to many beautiful places from here, ask the staff for suggestions.

I really loved this place! I am convinced it’s the best hotel in Santo Antão. Everything was very clean, new, and beautiful. The room was great and the bed was very confortable. I slept so well! The staff were amazing — really nice and always ready to help. Breakfast was delicious, homemade and fresh! and we had dinner at the hotel twice: highly recommended! I visited here last 12 years ago and the property is as well maintained as on my first visit. Certainly things have aged but you see the love of the caretaking.

Our stay here was wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness. Any question was answered and help was offered at all times. The room was clean and tidy, beautiful in design and comfort. The pool and outdoor area was very tranquil and well looked after. What a fabulous stay, we would definitely return.
