Very lovely room, big space and beautiful. Self check-in instructions were clear, quiet easy to get in the room. Calmly and relaxed morning in the delta’s rice fields.. special views. We arrived late and had to leave early, no time to try the restaurant.. maybe next time. Recommend place to stay in the area.

Tortosa's location and architectural heritage, natural environment, history etc. have a great potential, but it looks as if the city had neglected the opportunity to become a more important spot to attract visitors, considering its strategical location between Barcelona and Valencia on the coast.

Very nice family friendly hotel with a lot of activities for kids and parents. Big variety of food in the restaurant. IN the summer it must be very cool. We went in the winter and couldn't swim in the indoor pool because it was semi open with cold water. This was the only thing I wish it was different. The staff was very friendly and the surroundings beautiful.

Kayaking on the Ebro was super cool but might have been cooler to kayak on the lagoon/sea? And potentially cheaper. The flamingoes & wildlife are quite far away, understandably, so don't be fooled by close up photos taken with long camera lenses. Bring binoculars. The village centre is not the prettiest but there are still cheap places to eat at, and parking is free on the weekend I believe. Remember bug spray - mosquitos are fierce in wet, jungly places like here. The water for swimming or paddling is very warm on the delta side near Trabucador. We could have stayed another day to explore the northern part (Fangar). Also, there is a Lidl and an Aldi right in the centre of the area, very convenient & cheap breakfast.

We loved the town of El Perello. Felt very welcome, spent 5 weeks there. Easy to walk around and we weren't wanting for anything. Beaches are beautiful, as are the mountains. Weekly market was great and we were lucky to be there for the honey and olive oil fiesta, amazing.

Benifallet is a typical Catalan village on the banks of the Ebro river. It has a number of excellent restaurants (mainly only open for lunch but one does a reasonably-priced lunch and dinner ‘menú’), and a range of bars for cheap ‘Plato’s combinados’ or tapas. It’s well placed for gravel and road cycling - either up and down the via verde or along the Ebro itself. Plenty to explore around the area too - the Ebro has a rich history including the it’s strategic role in the Civil War.

L’Aldea town itself is not attractive like most of the towns round here but the countryside and wildlife in the area around the Mas is. Wide views of traditional farms growing artichokes, rice, market veg. This is a great base to visit the Ebro Delta by bike, on foot or by car. We hired electric bikes near Deltebro and did a half day round route through the natural park down to the sea. Great spots to see Flamingos, Herons, Ducks, Egrets etc. The eco museum in Deltaebre is worth a visit. Very helpful staff too. Other musts are a boat trip from Embocatura to the end of the delta and back then lunch at Restsutante CASA Loli. On the terrace. Great rice dishes..arroz abanda and local seafood and veg, with attentive professional service. Correct price. Worth visiting La Tancada then drive down to the end. Incredible views and best siting of Flamingos! Best visited by bike. Amazing exoerience!

Very quiet.

Very quiet. If you need to dissappear off grid for a week or two this is for you. Central area for European rice production. It's nice to cycle for miles through the rice fields. Lots of rural roads down to small beaches etc. Mosquito paradise !!(Crop duster plane operates 7:30am twice a week to control them) It might be boring for most teenagers (No shops, nightlife etc.) unless they are into wakeboarding(Manmade wakeboarding centre - Its cool) or fishing. There is one souvenir shop 2km from centre of riumar and that's it! Decent Spar shop. Lovely beach. Peddle boats, windsurfing Beach cafe providing activities including daily bike rental(20e per bike), horse trekking, guides tours. Several restaurants. Open at varying times. 3 beach bars 12 - 4pm 1 tavern (nice and relaxed) It really could do with a bit more to do in the evenings for younger people. There is nothing! Maybe table tennis tables, pool tables, Ice cream parlour. ..... Overall, a car is needed to visit sites of interest outside riumar. If you don't have a car you are stuck. No public transport. There are only taxis in Deltebre, 10km away. Deltebre is large town 10k from Riumar and is also very quiet. Was expecting some life there but was similar to riumar but nice to visit. Planned stay was too long. One week to wind down in Riumar and another week in a more lively location would be more ideal. Left Riumar early to stay outside Salou for 4 days of holiday. Teenagers were delighted with that!

The historic centre was lovely and very interesting, with old cloisters and a museum. There is a Civil War Museum which looked good, but we didn't have time to visit. Tortosa was very badly bombed during the 1930s Civil War. Some great little cafes and good atmosphere. We were very disappointed by the cathedral, but loved the Roman Excavations Museum in front of it. A definite must see for anyone interested in history.

The situation and views are very good. The restaurant is good and again has great views. Everything is clean and calm. Breakfast is typical Spanish fare with plenty of choice. Pastries are not as good as French and cooked breakfast not up to full English standards but nevertheless reflecting the price. We use this hotel to break an 11 hour journey from France to The Costa Calida and for that it is perfect.
