We passed through biking from Madrid to Cuenca…Caracenilla was a well-timed stopover, and La Casa del Canónigo provided an excellent place to rest and relax before continuing on. Thanks to our host, Marta, for welcoming us into this lovely historic property and guiding us on where to eat in the small town. Highly recommend!

This old palace is an unusual and very interesting accommodation.! It is very old and looks like it retains most of its original appearance, but each room has been carefully renovated so that all the modern needs such as water, a nice shower/bath, electricity and heat are there for you. Antonio, our host was very helpful during our check in and even started up a fire in the common room fireplace to warm up the room. We dined there together a little later and it was a lovely place to eat and talk over the adventures of the day . All of us agreed that staying at the Casa Palatio Conde de Garcinarro was a most wonderful experience.
