The apartments are in a good location in the village near to the supermarket but still only a short stroll to the beach. They are exceptionally well equipped with everything you could possibly need and are very clean and well maintained. Joanna is a vey welcoming and helpful host thanks for the gifts of sweets and cake. Mirtos is one of our favourite places to stay in Crete and we hope to be back next year and to Myrthe apartments.

We stayed for two nights. The hotel is very conveniently located, close to the center but on a quiet street without through traffic. Parking is easy in the neighborhood. The host is very kind and helpful, providing us with lots of information. The hotel is well-maintained, and a good breakfast is served at Cafe Casablanca next door.

A perfect place! The service was truly exceptional – especially thanks to Louise, Angela, and Despina at the reception, along with Danny the manager. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable, taking care of every little detail to ensure our stay was absolutely perfect. Everything was extremely clean and well-maintained, from the rooms to the shared areas. There was a warm, personal, and family-like atmosphere, and every request was met quickly and with a smile. Staff was amazing—we stayed in touch before our trip because of the fire situation on Ferma, and they kept us updated and made our planning easy and stress-free. The room was perfect, with a big balcony and beautiful sea view. When we arrived after a long journey, we were offered breakfast, which was very pleasant and hospitable. Breakfast was included in our stay, and the food was really amazing, with something different every day. We also had dinner at the hotel a few times and loved the delicious Greek food and great service. All amenities were in place for us, and we felt very well looked after.

Our recent stay at the InterContinental Crete was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a stunning sea view room, which set the tone for a truly memorable getaway. The staff were incredibly friendly, polite, and genuinely eager to assist with anything we needed. Their warm hospitality made us feel welcome and well cared for throughout our stay. The hotel itself is modern, luxurious, and recently built, with elegant design touches that create a serene and upscale atmosphere. Everything from the lobby to the rooms exudes comfort and sophistication. We were especially impressed by the abundant and delicious breakfast, offering a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options each morning. It was the perfect way to start the day. One of the highlights of our stay was relaxing on the sunbeds by the infinity pools on the 5th and 9th floors. The pools offer breathtaking views over the Aegean Sea and a calm, peaceful ambiance that's ideal for unwinding. To top it all off, the hotel kindly accommodated our request for a late checkout, allowing us to enjoy just a bit more time in this beautiful setting. Overall, our experience at the InterContinental Crete was exceptional. Whether you're looking for relaxation, luxury, or top-tier service, this hotel truly delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended!

We spent five wonderful and unforgettable days at the Elounda beach hotel. From the moment you arrive you are greeted by extremely warm and personable reception and concierge staff. The hotel has amazing landscaping and it feels like you are staying on a private island in your own world. Elounda beach has THE best location on the mirabello bay with the best views of the bay on either side of the hotel. The hotel beaches were one of the biggest attractions for us and they did not disappoint. They have 2 beaches (1 large and 1 small). We loved the small beach which was almost felt like our private beach. The water was great and refreshing and service was excellent. The rooms have amazing views and are very well equipped The hotel has 4 excellent restaurants on the property with excellent quality food and a wide variety and we never felt the need to go anywhere outside for our meals. The restaurant staff was very accommodating with tables with excellent view and great service. There was a special 3 hour Greek BBQ and song and dance night that was one of the highlights for our stay. The veghera bar which is almost in its own rock island and shaped like a ship was favorite place for drinks and cocktails. Overall the staff of the hotel is amazing and super professional and accommodating. They set very high standards and always aim to satisfy their guests Thank you to the Elounda beach staff for making our stay a memorable one.

The food in the main restaurant...amazing...breakfast and dinner buffet...just exceptional. Beach was 10+++, the sea...amazing. The pools were clean... perfection. We will be coming back!!!! Best vacation so far (family, 2 kids)

Visited at the beginning of October and a lot of places beginning to close for the season. Town quiet but pleasant. Unfortunately the ferry to Agios Nikolaos does not run anymore so it’s a long drive if you want to visit

The perfect place for peaceful vacation.

The perfect place for peaceful vacation. The city itself is nice but not something extraordinary, but you get the best food in Greece alongside the best beaches in the World! Try Psarropoula, Kakkos and all other beaches in Ferma area. Make beautiful trips to Chryssi Island or Agios Nikolaos (30min), Siteia (45min), Vai, Oropedio Lasithiou etc.

Myrtos is a busy little town with parking just on the outskirts. Interesting streets with lots of shops and cafes, so good to walk around and explore. Beach front cafes to sit and watch the world go by. Choice of many tavernas for food and drink.

Probably one of the nicest place in Crete.

Probably one of the nicest place in Crete. In the south-east this small village with harbor and several taverns direct on the sea, which serve excellent food at a reasonable price has no overtourism until now. At the beautiful 3 km sandy beach, many very nice private App direct on the beach or above the harbor in the old town offer perfect locations to stay. Only at the end of the sandy beach away from the rest of accommodations a hotel complex offers an all inclusive stay.

Elounda was ideal for us as it is fairly small and so no great hussle and bussle. Lots of places to eat. We visited Spinalonga one day - taking boat from Elounda and the second day we visited Plaka. Would like to have stayed another day to take opportunity to visit Agios Nikolas. Easy bus ride away.

Very nice place, the house and the equipment was very nice, cosy, convenient and really generous space. The pool was just for us, clean and big enough. There was an outdoor place with grill, tables and a fridge. The beach was just 2 min walk, Nice, quiet, the sea was clean and nice to swim, small stones at the beach, however the sand in the water. Nearby shops. Overall satisfied recommend.

Tiny village with a great atmosphere. We attended to a traditional event, with cretese music and dances, and in the area you can find very interesting historical sites. The beaches are very close and nice (the coast is facing east, so there are no waves in case the strong wind is blowing). Our favourite beaches have been Kouremenos for windsurfing and Itanos/Paralia for swimming. The best restaurants we tried are Mythos in the village centre and Elia in the close village of Agathias that you can reach on foot in ten minutes. Pharmacy, restaurants, shops, markets. Here you can find all you need for a perfect stay!

Big sandy beaches. Good tavernas, we liked MeRaki. Istron is a "strip" of a village running along a main road. There are apartments and hotels up the hillside from the road, with not too much road noise. When rough you can hear the sea from your apartment. Apart from the beaches and eating places there is probably not too much else to do.

We loved Agios Nicolaos. It’s a bustling port town but still small enough around the port area to be lovely. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. We did a boat trip to Spinalonga, which was excellent. We also took a cab to visit Plaka and Elounda and another to Kritsa the following day.
