Everything. The pool and restaurant are amazing. Good atmosphere but quietens down after 10, nearly everyone is here for a Komodo trip so it’s not a crazy party hostel. Staff were great too.

Charlie and his wife Maria welcomed us in the warmest of ways in their self-built and self-designed homestay. The structure is very beautiful, with a nice pool outside. We were provided a free shuttle from the LBJ airport. Rooms were clean, with air conditioning and a comfortable bed. Breakfast and dinner were simple but exquisite. You can really tell Charlie has a taste for hospitality, we recommend it 100%.

Everything was amazing! Katamaran is an absolutely amazing hotel. The rooms were stylish, perfectly clean, the beds comfortable, the breakfast had a ton of choices and good quality. They offer stand-up paddling, snorkeling, and kanu (or however that boat is called). They were always super friendly. The view in the evening is amazing. And it's also pretty nice to wake up seeing the ocean. The staff was super friendly and supportive

We had the best time at The Seraya resort! We came for two days but decided to extend our stay as soon as we arrived. Everything was great for some relaxing days. The house reef was amazing, we saw turtle, many fish and nice coral. The staff were so helpful and food was great. Would love to come back, we just loved our time here! There is no wifi so if you want internet you have to buy an indonesian e-sim :)

We liked the fact that their part of the beach was clean without rubbish, corals were very close, you could snorkel there. The staff was really kind, always ready to help - thank you Mias, Linda, Monica. They arranged a snorkeling trip for us to Babi Island and it was amazing with the best captain! Food was also great.

The villas are very beautiful and comfortable. They have everything you could need and are spotlessly clean. The pool is wonderful. All the staff are lovely people, always smiling and ready to help with anything. Ricky in particular is doing an excellent job. He’s such a kind guy, always making sure everything is perfect and that we feel comfortable. He helped us with absolutely everything (scooter rental, tips on places to visit nearby, taxi to the airport, etc.). We’re very grateful to have met him. We extended our stay for two more days to enjoy everything the hotel has to offer :)

Booked a week stay in L Bajo, I will definitely stay here again, it's in a prime location, 15min walk to the harbor which is only a few minutes drive, and a supermarket next door. Staffs are super friendly, simple but clean room with comfortable bed, great value for money. Love the sunset view! Shout out to Arna who greeted me in check-in and sent me off the last day. She's lovely! Two things to note: - very simple breakfast with only coffee, milk, toast and cup noodles. Not my top choice for breakfast but when you're getting up at 5:30 for diving there's literally no other breakfast options around and the hot coffee and cup noodles have saved a few of my mornings. It's free and considering the room rate I won't complain at all. - the hotel doesn't provide towels, remember to bring yours.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! What a beautiful resort with fantastic food and atmosphere. The resort was excellently taken care of. In fact the whole team made our visit extra special by chatting to us about their lives and culture, showing us so much more of Flores. Really they were all so warm and lovely! Also the house reef is just stunning, we snorkeled with turtles every day, it was so colourful! Dear Zaka, Alfonso, Desy, Fian bapak xander, Jimmy, Nardi, Roberto, Ana, Mia, Esthi, Willy, DWI and Kory (and all the people of which we don‘t know their names): Thank you for making our stay unforgettable! We loved everything!!! The warm welcome we got by the incredible friendly and helpful staff, our clean room, the beach, the restaurant, the massage! The hotel helped us book the amazing Komodo tour, which we will never forget. The food was superfresh and tasty, the breakfast the same. The hotel is located 10 minutes drive from the airport and provides transfer for a small amount. This is really the place to be on Flores 😍

Dream come true! Thank you for an absolutely wonderful start to our Indonesia trip. We stayed only two nights, but it was absolutely stunning. We had a beachfront tent with our own outdoor bathroom and sleeping with the sound of the ocean and a nice ocean breeze was just perfect. Good breakfast and also very tasty options for lunch and dinner. Met nice people there and had fun at movie night and camp fire evenings!

Great central location, lots of options in the breakfast buffet. They are close to the call for prayer tower, we stayed one night on the third floor and could hear it quite easily so if that bothers you wear earplugs. Otherwise the lower levels it’s not so bad

Labuan Bajo was so nice and beautiful, amazing experiences...

Labuan Bajo was so nice and beautiful, amazing experiences with one day boat trip seeing Komodo dragons, manta rays and Pink beach. Additional trips to Cunca Wulang waterfalls and Rangko cave were also definitely worth of doing! Great location, still relatively small so getting around in area is easy, but still having lot of options for different restaurants and activities. Did not have time enough to explore Flores further to east but I can imagine that would be also nice experience.

A very dirty, busy city.

A very dirty, busy city. Easy to be run over and huge holes in the sidewalks. Best not to stay here. There are no restaurants. To see the Spiderweb Rice fields it is best (if traveling by car) to just stop there on your way through (takes maybe 1/2 hour) and continue on

Great place worth viewing, I would recommend taking a picnic up there so you can spend more time there and have lunch they are plenty of different spots to wonder around l. The forest is beautiful which is something you don't really see when walking through in the dark for sunrise.

A very vibrant and busy town, as a white family we attracted a lot of attention, not always good. Uncomfortable walking around the town. We used taxis to move around the town. If I was traveling by myself I would have used public transportation, the bemos look fun!

Anyone travelling to Maurmere should be aware there are...

Anyone travelling to Maurmere should be aware there are severe problems with the local airport. It can be closed due to volcanic activity and if it is you will have almost no way of confirming or arranging other travel except by road. Maumere itself is pretty low service. There are no restaurants except very small local Warungs where you cannot guarantee hygiene. If staying at Cocnut beach it has a great reasturant and facilities but be aware you will likely not leave the hotel accept to do activities such as visit the Kelimutu Volcano which can also be done from other towns.

Nice, small, authentic village. Extremely friendly people. Good food, big portions. Scenery along the coast is mindblowing. Streets are in good condition or new, with few exceptions. Good for daytrips along the coast or traveling from town to town. Good connections to/from Bajawa by shared transport (100kIDR per person for one direction). Fairly expensive, not as developed, if you’re there for a boat tour, just get in and get out, not much to do there you can’t do in Bali or Lombok much cheaper. Can’t say enough about Sudamala Resort, reasonably priced if you book in advance and 5 star all the way.

I came for diving - going on a short Liveaboard for 3 days and doing 3 days of shore diving. The place is on the cusp of turning towards the dark side of tourism ghetto that is overbearing, but at the moment it's worth visiting. I would have stayed for another day, but airlines serving the airport (Komodo International Airport) do what they want. My flight there was delayed 2 hours and my flight leaving to connect with an international flight was rescheduled less than 48 hours before departure. It meant i had to leave the day before because there was no way i'd make the connection. People working there told me my experience is a common one - giving much worse examples. For less experienced divers, be aware currents are common - some very strong.

Higly recommended to everyone who wants to really enjoy the Ruteng and surrounding area, Waerebo village included (you can get there by motorbike). Ino and his family are awesome people, willing to help you with everything you need or want. You really become the member of the family. I would definitely come back if I visit Flores again. Breakfasts are so delicious and different every day (Im vegan and they prepared special meal for me, but I felt like a queen), beds are so comfy, they have hot shower, you can chill out at the garden or in the shed where you can also cook by yourself. They will give you valuable information and recommendations on places you should visit.. and there is much more. In the end, we are speechless, this stay exceeded our expectations.

Worth the effort & time spent on travelling to get to ur destination in Flores… worth my trip here!!! So if u are considering whether to come or not, waste no time… book ur flights and jus get here, people here will assist u the travelling plans, but just need to be careful with some transportation charges! There are always cheaper way to get ard…
