I regret not having visited Morickap Resort earlier. The hospitality, location, and food were truly exceptional. Even though I'm from the area, I never had the chance to stay there until recently. After hearing numerous positive reviews, my family and I finally spent two nights at the resort. Maintaining a plantation stay with such high cleanliness and minimal insects is no easy feat, yet Morickap Resort exceeded my expectations in this regard. Many high-end plantation properties I've seen are plagued with insects, but Morickap Resort's upkeep was impressive. Moreover, the hospitality was top-notch. The staff were exceptionally trained and courteous, ensuring a premium experience. The food was also outstanding, particularly if you're craving high-quality North Indian cuisine. I’ve never written a review before, but the experience at Morickap Resort was so remarkable that I felt compelled to share it. Not writing a review would be a disservice to the excellent management and staff of Morickap Resort.

The resort is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and offers stunning views of Chembra Peak and the surrounding hills. Manager Vineeth and his team went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Despite arriving at 5:30 a.m., Mr. Vineeth promptly responded to our call and kindly arranged an early check-in for a small additional fee. The self-service buffet breakfast was delicious, and while the canteen food was simple, it was consistently tasty. Overall, it was an excellent and serene experience. I highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Wayanad.

The stay was v.comfortable. Particularly, people are very nice. Sanish, Nandana, Kavya were very accommodating in any possible requests. 1 day extension request was easily taken care. His staff tried to serve to their best possible way. Security person (Mohammed) was very helpful & nice person. Rooms are good, facilities are ok. Breakfast was good enough. Overall a pleasant stay. Thanks to Nandana & Kavya & entire staff for their services.Truly appreciable, very relaxing place..would surely recommend this.

Nothing much here in Wayanad.

Nothing much here in Wayanad. The Pookode lake is utter nonsense. It's a small lake and not worth watching if you have been to Ooty/Kodai/Munnar. The Chembra peak trekking activity is very disappointing. The trekking starts very early, before 7:30AM in the morning. And the won't allow after that. It's difficult to reach on time as the place is around 23 KM from Kalpetta. The Edakkal caves again is a complete loot. They first collect the parking charges 2 to 3 KMs ahead of, and we had to wait here for 30 mins. Then the parking itself will take another 10 mins as there are several different places of parking, which you need to find out. From there you need to walk a very very steep uphill for 1.5 KMs from the parking slot towards the caves, where you will have to wait another 2 times in between. I had to wait for 15 mins at the front gate, and then after waling for 750 mtrs. at another place where they made us to wait for issuing the tickets. Even for issuing the tickets you need to wait for in a queue for getting a token. We waited here for 35 minutes and the queue didn't move an inch. They won't inform you about all these in the down hill or at the first entrance where they issue parking tickets but make you walk uphill for 750 mtrs. where you will realize the reality. We had to return back from here after frustration, without watching the cave. We reached here at 11:15AM, waited till 1:23PM and left empty handed with disappointment. They don't accept UPI but only cash, something fishy here... may be a scam.

It's being an hour and half drive from Mysore, it is one of the nearest and nice small town. We enjoyed the forest drive( though we could not sight any wild animals) but the overall drive was very nice and cool.

It's a nice place for max 3 days trip.

It's a nice place for max 3 days trip. It was not so cold as expected. You can go out with out winter clothes in December month. There are many adventures activities available here. Kids and young people will definitely enjoy this place. Banasura Dam was my favourite place.

Property is beautiful and very well maintained. Rooms are neat clean and big for families to stay comfortably. Bathroom are big. Having a kind of deck outside every room to sit and relax, have morning and evening tea with a spectacular view is just too good. The staff is very very helpful and pleasing. Always smiling and happy to help. Binoy the Manager and Shaad assistant were always there to answer all queries. Quick shopping can be done in the nearby marketplace but with no vehicle of your own becomes a challenge as the vehicle hiring cost is high. The drawback was that if you are looking for fast service or want to pickup snacks drinks etc then it’s not available in the property. That was a bit of a put off on the night we arrived. Some ready made snacks even from the menu not available on request. That takes away from experience of holidaying. Could be a challenge for families with small kids.

This resort is situated in front of chembra peak mountains, which is its main attraction. This place is so serene and peaceful. Room and overall resort is well maintained and clean. Food is very tasty and prices are quite reasonable. I have spent a lot of time sitting in the balcony and enjoying the beauty of the misty mountains. All the staffs are very helpful and friendly and they took good care of us. I didnt face any challenge during my stay. This resort is one of the best place to stay in wayanad and enjoy the nature

You cant find a Pure vegetarian hotels near by with affordable rates. Even the tea shops have non vegetarian snacks which was annoying to us. For the people who are not used to eat the big Kerala rice should plan to take electric rice cooker along with them for the trips

Good place to visit but not in summer holidays. Most places are shut down due to summer or other reasons. Some places like water falls are risky as there are no proper safeguard measures for tourists. Stay near the Bus Stand to go to important sight seeing spots.

I was looking for a weekend getaway home and I found Brook Land Estate in Wayanad online. The best part was the view of the lush green forests, waterfall and mountains from my room itself. The caretakers are very sweet and help around with whatever you need. the drive from bangalore is also very good only with smooth roads and takes about 6 hours max. The infinity pool view is just the best. The food is also very delicious. There are a lot of board games to play inhouse. You can also do a trek to the waterfalls. It's a short trek but it's a lot of fun. Don't miss on that. We came back to Bangalore fresh and rejuvenated after our stay at Brook Land Estate in Wayanad. Disliked · nothing that i can remember was bad. it was all good.

We visited a number of places in four days, the most...

We visited a number of places in four days, the most interesting of which were Edakkal Caves and Soochipara falls. Both beautiful places but be warned: Both require some energetic climbing. We also saw Banasura Dam and went through the Bandipur Tiger Resort and Muthanga Wild Life Park as well as the Mudhumalai Elephant camp as well as a couple of other waterfalls and lakes. Saw loots of elephants including full herds and families and hundreds of deer, some even crossing the road just in front of us but, unfortunately, no tigers.
