This folk house is unique and pretty exquisite. You would be surprised by exploring this diverse and elegant space on a remote island. I mainly used LINE and AI tool (e.g. POE) to communicate with the house owner Iwamoto. He would take the initiative to take care of you, such as your intinerary, personal belongings and safety. Don't be shy to seek his help. He is very nice.

Our stay at Mayagusuku Resort was one of the most memorable of our 6-week long trip. Tome was an incredibly good and attentive host and made sure we saw the best sides of Iriomote. The hotel was spacious, breakfast was tasty, and the room was very comfortable - and included the most incredible view of cliffs and the sea and the star-filled sky at night. We also loved cycling around the island on the provided bikes, for example to the gorgeous nearby beach. The highlight of our stay on Iriomote was the guided boat trip that Tome guided. We sailed around in the area, snorkelled, and went to a secluded beach - an amazing trip! All in all, a big recommendation for anyone going to Iriomote

This house is one of the few places on the island where you can stay in a modern atmosphere. Great location in the north of Iriomote, close to the port for sea excursions and close to pretty beaches. The host was super-responsive and helped us a great deal with weather warnings and practical information after a couple of power outages (which are normal on this island).

The accommodation here truly exceeded my expectations! This little room has everything you could need, and it's impeccably clean and tidy, with even a hint of fragrance in the air. You can feel the host's dedication to every detail, but what stands out the most, in my opinion, is their warmth. Their service is simply exceptional; they go above and beyond to help with anything you might need, which is incredibly comforting for travelers. The hosts also lead snorkeling activities, and the equipment on the boat is top-notch, with everything you could ask for, including hot barley tea! If you're interested in other tours around iriomote island, they can assist with bookings too. I highly recommend this place! It's definitely somewhere I'll revisit next time I set foot on iriomote island...

Beautiful room with ocean view. Big and spacious room. Clean. The staff were friendly even though they knew little English they went above and beyond to help and accommodate us. They are great and service minded. We will definitely be back!
