This is a beautiful property, well finished with extremely helpful staff. We arrived here whilst a storm was hitting Christchurch and this property lifted our moods and relaxed us. It might be more expensive than the average hotel in Christchurch but is more than worth the extra cost.

Loved absolutely everything, from the well thought out design to the comfortable bed. The view from the bathtubs and even the ability to Bluetooth your own music through the room. The staff were extremely helpful from the moment I made the booking. Even organised a platter to be brought down to us to enjoy with our complimentary bottle of wine.

We enjoyed the continental breakfast in a beautiful room .We liked the feeling of "home" because you can have some fruit and some coffee or tea any time you like.I enjoyed the jigsaw puzzle on the table and the fireplace in the lounge for a rainy day!And we foundthat Lucas and Florencia were very nice and efficient hosts!

We loved the old-world charm and history of the Manor House. The location was perfect, and you can really see the pride taken in maintaining the home and the beautiful grounds. The owners were so friendly and helpful. The gorgeous Merivale shops are only a 5minute walk away, with plenty of great restaurants to choose from. Our stay was exceptional. I tended to eat out for meals as there a large choice of places to eat within walking distance…the Riverside Market and restaurants along Oxford Terrace provided lots of places to eat!

We always love our trips to Christchurch, regularly going to watch cricket at Hagley Oval - a special and unique cricket pitch. But the City has many other options; for arts and culture as well as sport, and a diverse selection of places to eat. I've visited many times and have never been disappointed in terms of what's on offer.

Methven is a little gem of a town set in stunning...

Methven is a little gem of a town set in stunning surroundings with plenty on offer in both summer and winter. The Opuke thermal pools are a must do and have previously done the hot air ballooning which is a definite highlight of the area. There's a good selection of eating options for both day and night. We ate at Baileys Irish pub and loved the food. Methven is a great option for a weekend getaway from Christchurch without having to go too far to enjoy some R&R.

Springfield is only an hour from Christchurch yet so close...

Springfield is only an hour from Christchurch yet so close to great scenery for drives and many sporting activities including Mt Hutt Ski Fields plus others. Arthur's Pass is a fabulous drive, Rakaia Gorge is beautiful, the drive to Coleridge Power Station, at the back of Mt Hutt is very scenic. The town of Methven is not far away. And there is so much more to see. Springfield is a fabulous base for so much to do and see!

The Woolworths Supermarket staff were super friendly & helpful. We had a lovely evening meal at The Plough which was in walking distance to our accommodation, our meals were lovely and affordable.

Luxurious and welcoming.

Luxurious and welcoming. The restaurant at Terrace Downs was exceptional. Highly recommend the Mt Cook Salmon main. Extensive wine selection and great service. Would love to have stayed longer as there is so many exciting activities to choose from.

On our way back home to Queenstown, my husband was so tired...

On our way back home to Queenstown, my husband was so tired so we decided to do a last minute booking, was only one room left and we were lucky to get it. The property manager was so kind and very helpful, room was great all we needed a great bed and easy location to drive out. Just what we needed, definitely will return and i would telll a freind and freinds. Thank you Guys.

I really like kaiapoi and I would like to stay there but...

I really like kaiapoi and I would like to stay there but would definitely stay in another motel I found everyone friendly and found some good Cafés at night I were at the speedway at Woodfordglen that was the reason I stayed in kaiapoi because it was close to the speedway track.

We were based mainly in Rolleston on a daily basis because the family are there and there are many great cafes, restaurants and things to do there. Lincoln is a little smaller but close to Rolleston.

We chose Darfield because we were doing some research nearby...

We chose Darfield because we were doing some research nearby. Darfield is perfectly located to find agricultural supplies and outdoor clothing which we needed. Darfield, just 35km from Christchurch, links all routes also to.the south and west and north. Like many south island small towns, Darfield has a sense of civic pride and is easy to navigate around or through.
