Super nice place with such a lovely staff ! Especially Yoshi was so nice and gave me tips for my stay and what to do and to see! Great breakfast and very quiet even though it is 200 meters from the plaza de armas. Would absolutely recommend it!

The standard double room has a very good size, comfy bed, it is very clean and provides everything you need for a great stay. When we booked the Anido Hotel, it didn't even have a single review because it had just opened. But what can I say? We definitely didn't regret it! We initially only booked one night through Booking, but due to a case of illness we extended our stay in Ollantaytambo and thus in the Anido Hotel on site. + The hotel is a small but fine family-run accommodation in the tiny, beautiful town of Ollantaytambo, from where you can take perfect tours to Machu Picchu or the surrounding Sacred Valley. + Hidden in a small, original alley, 1-2 minutes walk from the Plaza Principal, the hotel has a perfect, peaceful location. You can feel the nature all around you, and yet you can get anywhere quickly. The train station is about an easy 15-minute walk or 3 minutes by tuk-tuk. + In terms of taste, it is a simple but beautifully furnished hotel. Next to the rooms there is a kind of covered courtyard with a mural, which is used as a breakfast room, as well as a small outdoor area. There is also a small shop where you can buy souvenirs. + Breakfast consists of a simple buffet. You can also order egg dishes as desired. But as I know the team at the Anido Hotel, they also accommodate special requests, you just need to ask! + In general, the staff were extremely helpful, and I would like to particularly highlight Carmen here. She was there to help us with advice and support when we had to spontaneously change our plans due to the illness mentioned. I could go into more detail about how much she helped us, but unfortunately there is not enough space here. Summary: Very, very good value for money. You not only get a charming, clean room, but also included breakfast and excellent guest service. And all that in a nice location. We would be happy to come back!

The rooms was spacious and clean, great shower and hot water. The location was walking distance from the main square and restaurants and convenience store within minutes of walking. The staff was super helpful and we really enjoyed our stay! We could even leave our bags here when we went to visit machu picchu for 2 days.

The hotel is beautiful. The charm of the old, with the comfort of the modern rooms. The concierge service was great for the tours and restaurants. Our driver during the transfers was great, as was our guide Hugo! We had an amazing time. The restaurant inside the hotel is great, as well as the one at Monastério (which is also a Belmond across the street). The complimentary mini bar is a great addition and we loved the small surprises/ beauty products in our room. You will see a lot of small details like covers on the water balls or small attentions during the turndown service.

This is one of the most incredible parts of our Peru experience. I had no expectations going in, except to relax in nature. We were really happy with our cottage and nightly fires. The food is outstanding and served by very kind, happy staff. The highlight was birdwatching in the mornings and doing the nature walks with the guide. This hotel is located in an incredible nook inside the mountains that makes you feel wrapped in the Andes. It is truly a magical location. Additionally, our spa services were divine.

It's a wonder of the world. We did route 3b and 2b. If we had to choose one it would be 2b. Great photo opportunities for " the shot" and you still see the lower areas. And lamas if you're lucky. Very close up. Go in the afternoon. Much quieter

Ollanta is fun and peaceful. The streets that run to the square are amazing. The charm of the houses and town is uplifting. Waking up to history all around gets my heart off in the right direction. I loved my time there.

We couldn’t decide between Urabamba and ollaytantambo, so glad we stayed he in urabamba. It’s much more of a local town, not built for tourists. Lovely restaurants and shops. We stayed here for 2 nights and then went to Ollaytantambo for a day and so glad we did it this way round! Ollaytantambo was full of tourists.

We enjoyed walking down to picac town from the intiwatana at Pisac archeological site. The best part of the site was not in the part where the guides, taxi drivers etc want to take you. Also we spent time at the sunday market in the town square. Our hotel was in the town square which as great.

I loved the people, the food, the history and the value of my money… the San Pedro Market was awesome and the vibe in San Blas is right on! What I didn’t like was all the lady’s asking to give a 20 sole massage (like 6$ US dollars) that’s too cheap to be good hahaha and the art peddlers really peddling magic mushrooms… like make me work for it and ask, don’t walk up to me and ask me, it should be that easy… but the non stop peddling of prostitutes and drugs was a little much

Great small town on the way to Machu Picchu. Plenty of hotels for every taste and budget. You could try to buy 1000 tickets to Machu Pichu from local Ministry of Culture. Every day they are selling 1000 extra tickets for next day. Whenever you arriving it's always good to check as Ministry is open until 22.00. Also you need to be in the cue 6.00 or earlier when you want to be sure for tickets.

Ollantaytambo is a gem of a town, my favorite so far of the Sacred Valley towns I have stayed in. The historic part of town feels like it must have felt with the Incas were living there in precolonial days. The streets are kept immaculately clean. Everything you might need is within short walking distance but does not intrude on the authenticity of the town. The views of the Inca ruins on all sides take you back in time. I would gladly go back for a longer stay. The constant flow of large tourist vans down the main street can be a bit annoying as they don't seem to belong, but you can avoid this. One great thing about Kamma Guest House is that it is not in the main stream.

Central location for exploring up and down the valley, with good bus connections. It's a real Peruvian town, not a touristy place, like many of the other towns around. I had a good meal in town. Everyone was friendly.

Pisac is a great place to acclimatize if you are coming into...

Pisac is a great place to acclimatize if you are coming into the highlands from Lima or Amazon basin. It is charming small town with lots of historical interest. Archeological Pisak is well worth spending some time on. If you are looking to acclimatize to higher altitudes, Pisak is a better starting point that Cusco because the altitude is about 1500 ft lower and it is closer to Sacred Valley attractions.
