The vibe. The place is like a heritage one. The stay was very comfortable. The owners are lovely, friendly and the whole stay was very smooth. The place is very calm and peaceful. Good breakfast was served. It is not a hotel with full services and facilities, but just perfect if you are there to relax and to tour the area of Lagos, Albufeira, Faro. We rented a car, and it was very convenient to tour and parking was perfect and easily accessible.

Great and friendly staff, the rooms were perfect and so comfortable. We had their half board option and there were so many different and tasty options each day. The pool was very clean and from the backyard there is a door that is 300 meters away from the beach.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, the room was large with a kitchen with a fridge where water and soft drinks were replenished daily. The room was cleaned every day. The beds were super comfortable, the bathroom was well equipped and shower was powerful. Staff were so lovely, friendly and very efficient. The pool facilities were great. Breakfast was delicious as was the dinner we had in the a la carte restaurant on site. It is right beside Falesia beach which is spectacular I cannot recommend the hotel highly enough. Fantastic

It was the perfect place to explore the Algarve! Placid Village is a complex of several houses situated on a small hill, a swimming pool, a tennis court and parking spaces. In our apartment we had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room with a kitchenette and a large balcony. The apartment was well-equipped. We could cook freely in the kitchen, we had a stove, oven, microwave, kettle and all kitchen utensils. There was also a washing machine in the bathroom. The rooms were air conditioned. We felt like at home there. The staff was helpfull and friendly. Next to reception is also a snacbar.The center of Carvoeiro is a 20-minute walk away. I highly recommend it, the best place!

Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, very spacious. I stayed there with my 5 month baby and wife. The lifts were fast, it's in a quiet area of Albafuera but only 12 min drive away from the centre. It's a Golf resort so they do have a conference centre there too.

So Albufeira in winter is beautiful.

So Albufeira in winter is beautiful. I went over Christmas, so It was quieter than usual, but its a handy base to go see other parts of the Algarve, places like Quarteira and Villamoura are lovely, as is Carveiro and Old Faro. Solgambas, Terraco do Mare, BDT Burger are some of the places I ate and would recommend. I just relaxed, petted some of the local cats, and had a really chill time. While winter sun isn't guaranteed, it can be very pleasant.

Amazing base for exploring the Algarve region by car.

Amazing base for exploring the Algarve region by car. There were so many restaurants in Lagos accessible by foot, and nice little shops. Try Casinha do Petisco (but book before) if you love seafood, churrasqueira Praca d'armas for local and casual peri-peri chicken, and Taninos for a slightly fancier meal. We mainly drove out of Lagos to go hiking along the South/Southwest coasts. We went in November so it was low season but we still have sunny weather and temperatures of 15-18 degrees, so perfect for if you're active. I would recommend kayaking or hiking. Visit the Ponte de Piedade. We did the seven hanging valleys hike and also kayaked to the Benagil cave, we went to Sao Vicente and Algar Seco.

Too short a visit to give a definitive answer as attending athletics event and not enough to explore, however liked what we saw. Had a superb meal at Namaste India Tandoori Restaurant in direction of Praia de Rocha. Without personal transport Uber was ideal.

Easy to get around, lovely beach, lots of beautiful places to eat. We stayed for 4 days and it was a perfect amount of time as we didn't plan any day trips. Bolt taxi - an excellent service and we would highly recommend the Wyndham Hotel.

Sagres is beautiful.

Sagres is beautiful. Perfect for people who are not afraid of wind or cold water. Because of that you find yourself in places with not too many people and always have more than enough space in the beach. Some beaches are full of trailervans but people are nice and chill.

The ruins of the ancient castle overlooking the town...

The ruins of the ancient castle overlooking the town enhances the dreamlike feeling of this very old town. Just wandering the streets is enough, but then there is terrific hiking. Ideal for those who like heritage and outdoor adventure in the "real" Portugal outside of the large City. And then there are the people, who could not do enough to help.

Our visits to Armacao de Pera have been out of season so reasonably quiet, perfect for us. The beach is one of the longest in the Algarve plus a boardwalk which extends for miles. Excellent for those who want long walks. There are small more sheltered sections of beach immediately in front of the central area for sunbathers and swimmers. Wide selection of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance of central accommodation. Large Lidl supermarket close to front with a large selection of smaller supermarkets and shops in the central area. Recently completed car park on beach front costs but convenient. Not as lively as some resorts and not to everyone's taste, but we like it.

We chose Luz because it looked like it had a lovely holiday vibe. A nice soft sandy beach and lots of eateries to provide all different types of cuisine. Relatively compact and everything within easy access, and not too hilly. Very friendly and hospitable. It did not disappoint.
