But what really made our stay unforgettable was the incredible service – especially from Fransisco, the Guest Relations host. He was exceptional in every way: warm, professional, and always available on WhatsApp. From the moment we arrived, he made sure everything ran smoothly and took care of every detail with genuine care.
One of the highlights was that we were celebrating our friend’s birthday during our stay. Fransisco and the hotel staff helped us make it truly special, going out of their way to organize a thoughtful surprise and making her feel celebrated and appreciated. It was such a lovely gesture and far beyond what we expected!
Thanks to Fransisco’s amazing support and the kindness of the staff, we felt truly welcome and taken care of throughout our entire visit. We wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Inglaterra to anyone visiting the Estoril–Cascais area. We’ll definitely be coming back!

My recent stay at Vila Bicuda Apartment Resort in Cascais, Portugal, was an absolutely delightful experience, particularly suitable for both families and couples. A bakery and coffee shop are just a stone's throw away, ideal for morning refreshments. Additionally, the presence of a restaurant ensures that dining options are readily available. The inclusion of a laundry shop, along with a hairdresser and nail salon, further enhances the convenience factor of this resort.One of the standout features of Vila Bicuda is the daily cleaning service, ensuring a continuously pristine environment throughout our stay. Initially, my plan was for a brief visit of a couple of days, but the ambiance and facilities led me to extend my stay to approximately 10 days.The provision of free parking right at the villa is a significant advantage, especially for those traveling with vehicles. Furthermore, each villa comes with a fully equipped kitchen, which is ideal for those preferring home-cooked meals or staying for longer durations. Cascais - very thankful to my colleague, a local from Porto, for recommending I stay at Cascais! It was the best decision, the town felt like home, and was easy access to everywhere! Food was excellent, transportation options perfect, and very walkable! I walked everywhere in the town, and went to Sintra twice via bus from bus depot, with excellent bus service. It felt safe no matter what time of the day or night- and even though there were tourists around, it didn't feel overwhelming like Lisbon or Porto, as there was a sense of peace and belonging! I want to go back again.

Oeiras is a suburb of Lisbon, so not overwhelmed by tourists. We found some great places to eat that were appreciative of our custom. There was a fantastic vegan restaurant just outside the town centre (Alma Veg). The main problem for us was the ddual carriageway that passes right by the beaches.

There were two issues that were not quite good.
There were two issues that were not quite good. One, the air conditioning was not working properly; one night it was too cold and the other 6 nights it did not work at all. Secondly, the shower was very slippery. I almost fell and slightly hurt my foot trying to prevent a fall.
Other than that, everything else was extraordinary.

We did not see much of Carcavelos other than the restaurants near the flat and the beach. Nice quite town. We were staying near by the train station. quite a few shops and restaurants with great seafood selection, cafeteria, pharmacy around. chinese mini supermarket where you can buy anything you can imagine (non food), walk to the beach is about 7min

Paco de Arcos was a short 20 minute ride from the airport and just outside the city center. It is a quaint town, quiet and had great restaurants, lovely people and easy access to both train transit and beaches. You can walk all the way to Lisbon along the waterfront with many beaches and landmarks. We did a day trip to Cascais via the train and were completely at ease for our entire stay. Our best outing was a day trip to visit many of the Knight's Templar historical sites with a local guide who was a history buff and shared much of his knowledge with us.

It's a cosy little apartment, very well situated, with a lovely large patio, garden with swimming pool. However, being at the garden level I was surprised at how dark it was during the daytime. The kitchen and bathroom definitely need an upgrade for the price they are asking. Overall, a comfortable place for a short visit.

The area was full of Quality built property with lots of trees,there were a good choice of supermarkets,the beaches were good,plenty of resturants
bars and cafes,there was a nice small park.I dont go out drinking and I did not have details of any alternative evening activities,except for the excellent 4 evenings of musical entertainment at cascais festival. I ate all my meals at save the world hostels as it was my plan to walk and sight see in the morning take a break at lunchtime and do the same in the afternoon and read my books as well.Pingo Doice supermarket you could
get a cup of coffee and a custard tart in their cafe for 1 euro.At Aldi Supermarket you could buy a packet of Markus Bio ground coffee (exc)

We really enjoyed walking around the city, the views are very pretty and overall the buildings and structures are really beautiful, lots of stone archways, marble and old stone buildings to admire and pretty cobbled paths to walk. The road out by the coast is really enjoyable to walk also with landmarks like the boca du inferno well
Worth a look. Restaurants are plentiful with good food and lots of nice cafes to enjoy a coffee and pastry while enjoying the autumn sun. The weather was perfect whilst we were there, warm but not too hot. The train station in cascais takes u into Lisbon city in 45 minutes and is really enjoyable as you pass along other sea side towns with a view of the sea as you travel. It’s not expensive and runs every 20 mins

All best beaches in Lisbon Subarban are located in Oeiras region. If booked a hotel this region , all the prominent beaches like Carcevelos , Cascais are all reachable in short duration by the Moffusil train. Beach lovers can think staying in Oeiras region . Please note , I found public transport is not much effective or the frequency is very low , lot of time waiting for a bus , and finally have to depend on Taxis most time, that May shell out more expense
