Comfortable, great kitchen, meeting lots of people from around the world, lots of cozy public spaces to hang out in. Staff were very helpful. And it's better priced than some other places in what is a major tourist destination.
Take note when comibg in from Kiruna by train, yo get off at the SECOND Abisko stop, not the first, or you'll have to walk for 30 minutes with your luggage...
Lastly- we saw Aurora both nights we were here- very exciting.

Lovely house as stated in the ad. 5 minute walk from and to the train stations. Super convenient to reach. Also only 5 minutes to the supermarket.
The sauna was our highlight. Easy to use and really fun to use.
Bedrooms, living room and kitchen are well equipped and comfy.

The hostel was great, very well equipped, close to everything (supermarket, hiking trails…), and a perfect spot to see the northern lights (I recommend the heliport, 300m from the hostel). The atmosphere and guests were really nice!

Small village, very quiet.
Small village, very quiet. Far from the agitation of the city. Best place to embrace the darkness and the wild and watch the northern lights. Only one small supermarket in town, most of the activities are happening outside in the nature so be used to outdoor activities.

I have been here eleven times, which must show that I like it very much.
I have been here summer and winter as well.
I mostly hike to Lapporten and Trollsjoen.
On the other hand, I am not a fan of Kungsleden, which for me is a motorway for pedestrians.
