The Radical is a great hotel, lovely decorated. The rooms are spacious and come with a luxury interior. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom is big and has a nice walk-in shower. On the rooftop you’ll find a nice bar serving good drinks. We had dinner at their restaurant The Golden Hour. Attentive staff, very nice interior and decoration, serving great food.

We upgraded to a suite, plenty of room, 3 thermostats so never hot or cold in any part of the suite. Nice bar, nice pastry breakfast with huge pastries, fruit, yogurt, etc. Very friendly staff. Rooms renovated to modern fixtures, while the outside was 100+ years old. In the heart of the breweries too.

The room was so spacious with really comfortable beds & lovely decor. When we arrived in the evening the young lady on reception was a delight. The Inn is an excellent location in Blowing Rock, just a short walk to the main high street with excellent parking facilities. We had a lovely stay at Meadowbrook Inn.

I love Ashville. Been there several times on the way to HHI.

I love Ashville. Been there several times on the way to HHI. I go to the discount shoe outlet on brevard road...much cheaper than Nordstrom...all the fancy brands....seriously always buy a few pairs...to wear on HHI. I dont bring shoes with me. Just merrell slipons in case a rain or snow. We are older and like to take several days to drive from chgo to HHI. I sew, so i go to the Ashville Cotton Co. Reasonable prices...Joann closed and my options are limited. So when i travel i look at fabrics...my chgo neighbor recommended the Cotton Co. We have always stayed at the comfort inn mall. After the drive in...we take a walk around the semi enclosed mall for exercise and then get dinner from the Harbor Inn...next to the comfort inn...can walk. We stay one day so i have to be targeted. Next year im going for two days so we can go to the arts district snd i can get inspiration! Not sure about the comfort inn by the mall..the property is tired..a sign to find an alternative. I would love to stay at the biltmore but they are Not Dog friendly....I called then and offerred to pay a fee and give a big deposit.... We drove a bit on the blue ridge park way and it was very pretty. Will investigate again.

I was at Cherokee for the Cherokee Invitational Basketball tournament. The tournament was held inside the gym at Harrah's hotel and Casino. The affordable Fairfield Inn was directly across the street from Harrah's, so we had the convenience and ambiance of the restaurants in Harrah's and an affordable hotel option so conveniently located.

Boone was very beautiful with the snow covered mountains and snow covered buildings. Icicles hanging in the trees. Dress for freezing weather thick coat, scarf, hat, gloves and thick socks. I was toasty even with the wind whipping by. We shopped the day after graduation and everything was easy to find. We are ate at Chili’s but it was less than desirable. I have a no salt diet but my meal was loaded with salt. I brought the steak home for my dog, so he thought it was good! Wish we had went to Daniel Boone Inn or a steak house.

If you like exploring small, charming towns, then Dillsboro is a great place to add to your list! There are several fabulous places to go, but I highly recommend Haywood Smokehouse if you are looking for a place to eat. You will NOT be disappointed. I am super picky about my brisket--so when I tell you that their brisket is the absolute best I've ever had--I mean it!!

Loved the drive up the mountain.

Loved the drive up the mountain. We had trouble getting through gate as entry box was not readily seen. Another driver helped us. We drove around for a bit trying to find our unit. A workman sent us in the right direction. Once in the one-bed unit, we were disappointed as there was no mountain view. The unit was comfortable, cozy, well-equipped, and nicely decorated. As our stay continued, the unit grew on us. For the price, I don't think we would return.

The location is excellent .

The location is excellent . Beautiful views and safe neighborhood. Downtown Boone has lots of restaurants and stores. Friendly locals and lots to do. Grandfather mountain is only minutes away from this condo. A must see if this is your first time . Blowing Rock was our favorite, the views from the park are breathtaking, there are blooming flowers and gardens with lots of butterflies and bees. In downtown Blowing Rock there is a trail that is a well worth to hike, the Glenn Burney Trail. it has 3 beautiful waterfalls . Downtown is decorated with gorgeous flowers. The museum has paintings from local artists, some of the paintings are more than 80 years old. Admission is free. If you visit during the summer, horse back riding is another great activity as long as the trails are not wet from the rain. Please make sure to ask the stable /horse owner before you book your horseback riding activity. We booked a horse back riding activity and it was not nice. All the horses were struggling going up and down the muddy trails . It was not the best horseback riding experience. Also, ask the locals they live in the area and can provide with great tips so you can make the best of your vacation.

Waynesville is fantastic, lots to do, super cute downtown, very walkable, good food, good hiking, really a gem of WNC. Orchard Coffee is excellent, Mast General is really fun. So many good bookstores, loved all of the shopping at Sassafras. Pizza at Dough Boys is out of this world. Watami Noodle was pretty flavorless, but really the only bad meal of our stay. Our accomodations were very problematic and Vacasa has not been helpful, but the town itself is wonderful, would just recommend a different rental or a different company.
