Diverse Sunshine State of Disney

The Sunshine State – Florida – has so much going for it that we hardly know where to begin! From Key West all the way to Jacksonville and Pensacola, this diverse state has magnificent beaches attracting beautiful people and exotic wildlife.

At its tip are the incredible Everglades, largely accessible only by air boat. East, Miami is known for its Latin American vibe and the Art Deco buildings of glamorous Miami Beach. Fort Lauderdale is nicknamed ‘Venice of America', while Palm Beach hosts the annual SunFest music festival. Panama City is a favourite Florida spring break destination, and Tampa has popular party spot Ybor City and Busch Gardens, one of many Florida theme parks.

The most famous are of course Walt Disney World, Epcot, SeaWorld and Universal Studios Florida. Orlando and neighbours Kissimmee and Lake Buena Vista house a wealth of Florida hotels near Disney parks. Not many buildings look pretty in pink, but the Don Cesar has to be that exact color! We had a beautiful room on the 7th floor with a view of the pool and sea. Everything was very clean and well maintained and the staff was always very friendly and helpful.The most beautiful thing for us was the direct transition from the pool area to the sea and especially the wide beach that invites you to take a walk.The sea is very clean for swimming and and the beach with its bird life is just wonderful. Maybe the most beautiful hotel on the most beautiful beach in Florida?

So many things to do for all ages but with so little time...

So many things to do for all ages but with so little time and would recommend capturing every moment as much as possible. Friendly, approachable and welcoming people everywhere. A variety of restaurants to choose from to eat. Different attractions to try in and outside theme parks. City buses is super cheap, though inconsistent in scheduled times. But just keep waiting and it will come eventually.

It’s just ok , the airport is very dirty . Probably would not ever fly there again . The boardwalk was ok but very very expensive. The restaurants were just ok . The hotel was way outdated and smelled . It need major updates . Taxis where easy to get

Miami has something for everyone!

Miami has something for everyone! We love the Jewish Museum on Washington Street. Love the beach access, even if you stay a couple blocks off Ocean Blvd, it is an easy trek to sand! There was, however, a ton of seaweed at the beach this year (early Nov) so that was kind of not great. The art deco buildings are so beautiful and there are so many! Lots of tours you can do to get the history a truly appreciate the history of this style of architecture. They have duck tours - so much fun, on land and in the bay!!! There is a free trolley that runs the full length of Washington and also goes all the way to North Miami Beach. So many great restaurants for Cuban, Italian, Mexican food and of course seafood! You can get a ride to Bayside where you can enjoy an entirely different vibe - again with tons of boating opportunities and restaurants and bars. Do Miami!!!!

The beach was great and the yatches and boats were amazing. I liked the fact that we could get close views of the boats and yatches freely without any prohibition. We walked a lot and loved the walkways which were also safe. the properties and the environement were also amazing. the weather was also great.

Tampa traffic can be challenging but there are a lot of things to see in Tampa we were here on a medical trip so a lot of time was not given to explore. Overall the trip would have been a lot better had the stay at the hotel been such a disaster.

Kissimmee is a nice area , just like everywhere it has its areas you have to be careful. Traffic is bad but it is a tourist area so expect that. Most people are very nice and helpful you do have some that act like they hate tourist. Overall I would recommend this area, the hotels are reasonable in price and most don’t charge a parking fee which I like and think it’s stupid when they do. You will enjoy Kissimmee , every place has its ups and downs but overall it’s more on the ups.

This historical nugget is one of the best kept secrets in the state. I grew up in Florida but never made it to St Augustine until about 4 months ago. Of course, now it's a family favorite - my husband dropped a surprise on me this past Saturday and insisted we drive up for a quick stay. It did not disappoint! This time we shot over to Vilano Brach for some intracoastal activities. Lovely spot

We love Key West, it was our third time here.

We love Key West, it was our third time here. The laid back vibe, the many things to see and do, the weather! We came back to 7" of snow! We are sad that the Duval Loop bus is ceasing operation in January and hope they find a way to bring it back. It is an underreported gem and super helpful for people who don't want to walk or bicycle everywhere.

Jacksonville is a wonderful place to visit 😊 I like going to the beach and the flea markets when I'm there! They also have amazing places to eat and be entertained if you're interested in going out!

The Uber drivers we had were wonderful people.

The Uber drivers we had were wonderful people. We ate at a restaurant called Uptown 66, authentic Mexican. Absolutely delicious and quite inexpensive. I'd go there again in a minute! We had to hit a pharmacy - the driver was helpful and waited for my husband. We only stayed one night and were catching a cruise the next day.
