Everything!
First of all, it's the location, very safe and quiet place away from CBD. (I have been to Ermelo before several times but all the other places I stayed were not that comfortable regarding safety location...)
Then the apartment itself is a surprise. It's not only clean. all the equipments and settings are beautiful and I believe that the owner chose everything by heart. The apartment makes me feel that I must take care of it because it's so beautiful.
And the bed is soooo comfortable! even much more comfortable then my bed at home!
Moreover, the apartment respects us privacy 100%!
I will be back, everytime in the future if I pass by Ermelo I will stay here.

I love that the property is easily accessible and close to everything especially Merino Mall and very clean , very spacious for a one bedroom apartment, I love the closet and the seating area is beautiful, love that there are no curtains but blinds everywhere . As other reviewers have mentioned Echo Valley is a lovely place, very secluded with very nice accommodation and many different animals on the farm. In particular though the owners were so helpful, we arrived on motorcycles very wet and muddy after riding through a storm and then provided us with drinks and even dried some of our kit for us. Highly recommended.

My Stay was very short because I was headed to Nelspruit. I went to MERINO MALL, very beautiful and refreshing and Spent the Night @Livingwaters B&B; i wuld recommend this accommodation!! it is very easy to get around ERMELO, small town but has your Standard Eateries: Spur,Denonairs, BuergerKing, etc.

Whilst it is a pleasant little town, there's nothing to do...
Whilst it is a pleasant little town, there's nothing to do in Chrissiesmeer, so you should ONLY stop overnight, if you have other things to do there, maybe attend a wedding at the nearby wedding venues, have family who live there or are maybe running late on your journey thru, and just need a quick bed for the night. Chrissiesmeer is not a holiday destination.....
There is a very nice little restaurant, for dinner. The shopping includes a very rustic little shop which contains a tiny selection of many things ranging from groceries to veges to kichenware and basic hardware. There is also a liquor store, butchery and fuel station. That's basically all.
Watch out for the cows, they walk around on the roads.

Too many potholes inside the town, not good for a car safety.
Nothing to write home about for the place and duration of my stay.
Seemed safe place though if one wants a quite place to relax.
Lots of familiar shops similar to ones in big towns.

The people of Ermelo are wonderful but Bookings.com is not people orientated and killing service providers' businesses. How would you feel if you were in my shoes. I was badly treated 3 times in 3 months
