I’ve said this about many places in Sri Lanka, and it absolutely applies to Sigiriya Forest Edge: the true highlight of this property is the incredible staff. Everyone was genuinely kind, attentive, and made our stay feel both homey and effortlessly relaxing. We were traveling with a baby, and the team went above and beyond to help — from preparing special meals to arranging everything we needed with care and attention. A very special thanks to Tharindu, who took it upon himself to recover and ship our lost jacket from Colombo all the way to Sigiriya. He was also a fantastic resource, helping us discover other local activities and making our stay even more memorable. As for the hotel itself, we loved being surrounded by greenery — it felt like we were staying among the treetops. Our room was comfortable, peaceful, and well-equipped. Also, heartfelt thanks to the restaurant team, who treated us to some of our favorite Sri Lanka.

A beautiful spacious villa surrounded by nature: it is near a spectacular lake and rice fields. It is within a walking distance from Sigiriya and Pidurangala: we went there by foot. Our room was really large, fresh and clean equipped with air conditioning. It has a big bathroom with hot water and toiletries. The pool is big and clean, we used it every day. There are sun loungers as well. The house also has a playground with chess, table tennis and badminton. The breakfast was enormous 😀 and really tasty with fresh fruits and local goodies. They also served something new every day. Special thanks to the hosts Kasun and Pathum, they really made our stay there enjoyable. They helped us organize an elephant safari and a transfer to another city, advised on non-tourist attractions, and even delivered food from nearby restaurants free of charge. I would definitely recommend staying in Bungalow Resort for a pleasant vacation

The hotel is located in a pleasant and quiet area, off the main road, which we found very relaxing. There is a lovely garden with a large and clean outdoor pool. The room was spacious and beautiful, with new furnishings. The bedding and towels were clean. Besides breakfast, you can also order other meals at the facility, which are excellent. We especially recommend the devilled chicken. The hotel manager was very professional and communicated well in English. He answered our questions and gave us good tips.

Sigiriya Kings Resort was the hidden gem during our stay in Sri Lanka. It is a place surrounded by nature and very quiet. There is a big pond that is right next to the lodge where you can see frogs and many many birds. The rooms are high standard, good and silent air conditioning, good shower with amenities, bathrobe, and a flash light. The people were extremely friendly and attentive. I could only touch a sun umbrella and within seconds somebody was there to help me. The continental breakfast was superb and we enjoyed it every day. Fresh juice, smoothie, yoghurt, eggs/bacon/beans, fruits, and sweets. We usually don’t eat dinner at the restaurant of the hotel but ended eating at this place every evening. The meals were so delicious and worth the price. Recommendation: Tom Yum soup and everything on the SKR specials page! They have multiple trips that they offer and arrange for you. We booked the safari in Hurulu. They knew exactly where the elephants were these days and we saw around 40 of them also very close up. Big thanks to our guide Samantha for the awesome experience🎉 And not to forget the lovely view to Lions Rock and Pidurangala. We took one of their bikes to make a nice 1.5h ride to the base of the Lions Rock and city center. It’s a cool way to discover the surroundings. We enjoyed everything and want to say big thanks to the owner and staff for taking such good care and making our stay unforgettable. ❤️

Chena Huts Eco Resort is gelegen in Sigiriya, op 2,2 km van Sigiriya Rock, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een terras en een restaurant. De eigenaar was bijzonder aardig en vertelde ons bij aankomst van alles over het resort, de omgeving en tips om te doen of te bezoeken. De kamer was erg ruim, lekkere bedden, wel kan er snachts en vroege ochtend wat herrie zijn vanwege vogels, eekhoorns en apen. Maar dat hoort bij een Eco-Resort ! Zeker aan te bevelen, we hebben genoten.

Organic Garden Resort Sigiriya ligt in Sigiriya, op 8,1 km van Pidurangala-rots, en biedt accommodatie met gratis fietsen, gratis privéparkeren, een buitenzwembad en een tuin. We loved staying at the resort. The business is run by a lovely, hardworking family. The food cooked in the house was excellent and high quality! Very nice driver who took us to the safari trip and rock hiking! Good luck to the owners! 🙏😍🙏
