Santa Bárbara Eco-Beach Resort ligt in Ribeira Grande, aan de noordkust van het eiland São Miguel. Our 1 bdr garden unit with the hot tub was perfect for our one week stay. Attention to details in every aspect; beautiful linens, spa gowns & slippers, candles; herbal tea and sleep mist delivered late afternoon each day was welcomed after our touring; loved the double wide concrete tub; kitchen was small but served our needs perfectly with a cooktop stove, small fridge and all of the dishes/pans required for your stay; housekeeping service every day and a wonderful breakfast that I did not initially know was included but enjoyed. A la carte selection and service was great. Loved the views from the dining room looking over the ocean; our visit in Feb did not allow us to swim in the infinity pool but we enjoyed walks on the beach to watch the big waves. We had one dinner i n the dining room which was very good - I went out of my comfort zone and had cauliflower steak which I would have again. They grow their own herbs and veggies. Parking was plentiful and only a 20 drive to the airport. Good Proximity to everything in the island. This resort truly exceeded our expectations and we would return again.

Located in the São Miguel Island of the Azores archipelago, the Caloura Hotel Resort is inserted on a protected natural area and features direct access to the sea and natural volcanic pools. Wij verbleven 2 dagen in dit hotel en alhoewel het duurder is dan gewoon in een B&B te verblijven, was het toch wel zijn geld waard om ook eens de luxe van een hotel te ervaren. Het hotel is heel proper, alles was functioneel, de kamers waren echt top met mooi zeezicht, terras en zicht op het zwembad. Het ontbijt was goed en we hebben één maal diner genomen. Wij vonden prijs/kwaliteit van het eten zeker oké. + Het hotel is goed gelegen, mooie omgeving, grote parking voorzien, ideaal om van hier uit het eiland te verkennen. + Er is ook een bar die tot middernacht open blijft.

Refúgio dos Capelinhos - Villa e Suites heeft een buitenzwembad, een tuin, een restaurant en een bar in Norte Pequeno. This place is a rare find & absolutely gorgeous: Beautifully designed suites, pool and dining area, all with stunning views of the ocean and sloping vineyard, delicious breakfast with fresh local bread, cheese, fruit, etc. The Refúgio is run by a lovely family, who attended to all our needs with kindness and care (including our after-midnight arrival). We ordered dinner in the morning for that night and it was the best we’d had during our time on the islands: cooked with local ingredients and vegetables freshly harvested from their garden! The pool is clean and inviting, the water a pleasant temperature. Many hiking trails are easily reachable by foot, including the ‘coast to coast’ and ‘ten volcano hike’. The intimate size (four suites and two chalets) creates a true retreat feel. What a luxury! This place is a gem. We would return here in a heartbeat!

Het 5-sterrenhotel Pedras do Mar Resort & Spa biedt accommodatie in Fenais da Luz, op 10 km van Ponta Delgada. Het is bovendien prachtig gelegen aan de zee. For a wonderful time in Sao Miguel, this is the place to be. It's in a peaceful spot with stunning ocean views, perfect for starting your day right. The breakfast has lots of tasty options, including local favorites. The staff are really kind and helpful. They let us check in early at 10:00 am and check out late. The spa isn't huge, but it's a great way to unwind after exploring the island. Overall, it's one of the best hotels I've stayed at, fitting in perfectly with Sao Miguel's natural beauty.

Dit hotel biedt uitzicht op de Atlantische Oceaan en beschikt over een tennisbaan en accommodatie met airconditioning. Very nice spacious apartment. Our room had a beautiful view so sitting on the balcony and seeing the sunsets was very enjoyable. Rooms and hotel, pool - everything very clean and well kept. Very good restaurant in the hotel for quality sushi. Staff at the reception extremely nice and helpful. Location excellent for making trips all over the island.

Dit luxeresort op het eiland São Miguel biedt directe toegang tot het strand Baia de Água d'Alto en kijkt uit over de Atlantische Oceaan. The hotel is situated in a picturesque place, boasting a huge green territory, private parking and a beach entrance. The room was spacious enough for 3 people, with comfy beds and a nice balcony. We arrived on Christmas day, and the hotel restaurant was open, while everything else in the vicinity was closed, so we enjoyed a nice dinner. The staff is welcoming, friendly and very helpful. A small sauna was definitely a bonus after long hikes.
