We ended up booking this because we thought it would be good value for money but we would have been better off staying anywhere else. The staff are incredibly unhelpful, almost as if they're there by force. Asking for the smallest of things (water, soap) is like extracting teeth. The rooms are not only outdated but they're unclean too. We found a live cockroach in our bed and when we reported it we were made to feel like it was no big deal. The only positive is the location, which is about 5-10 minutes walk from the main beach but there are plenty of other hotel options near the beach.

The hotel is oudated, the rooms we booked weren't clean (cockroach, layers of dust, stains, a damp smell when using the air conditoning), the staff are unhelpful and they also charge you extra if you're not careful (they tried to add a parking fee despite not us having a car). Breakfast was limited in options.

Very well decorated hostel with everything you’d need for a short stay in São Paulo. Kitchen was well equipped, Rooftop room was really nice with a great view of the city! Hosts were very accommodating.

Had some confusion on the first night with being showed to the wrong room and having to move room but host were very apologetic and the new room was much better!

It was close to the beach and a diverse type of restaurants in the area of barra which there are many other good apartments to be rented so that isn’t something specific to this property.

Some of building staff were extremely rude, they did not even offer a ‘bom dia’ and had a very ‘cara fechado’ closed eye-brows and expression. The company managing the property were difficult and demanded to give them written notice of anyone coming to the apartment despite that they had not written this in their rules, visitors I had were made to not feel welcome, I had to write to the company via whatsapp and ask permission, when I asked at 22:30 pm I was ‘told off’ and told I wouldn’t be allowed to have anyone else visit the apartment. It was the second person who I invited. I’m an adult on holiday, this was not stipulated, it made me feel uncomfortable and limited my freedom. I was also met with a lot of hostility and speculation as if an adult wanting to entertain another adult in a private space was to be frowned upon, what year are we in? Other than that the cleanliness of the apartment was substandard, there was sand, marked towels, chipped semi-clean plates, not even a small bar of soap, salt, sugar or coffee was offered. There were occasional loud disturbing knocks on the door to collect trash? There was building work going on in the building with loud machines before 8am, and people smoking mariajuana that could be smelt from my room and was embarrassing when I invited friends to visit the two times I was permitted. It was a very unpleasant and difficult trip and I was not helped at all by the company who were managing the apartment. They were completely unbothered and I have read customer feed back in the past and none of the feedback had been observed.

Lovely hotel. Lovely staff. Awesome view. Very nice beaches. Overall a safe place to go. We used Uber to go downtown Ubatuba.
