Such amazing staff ,location tidy clean just an amazing stay,my partner left her boots they're posting them on to her ,just such a great hotel . We couldn't get food in the town in the evening and hotel restaurant was fully booked but them feed us in the bar area which was most kind

The Red Lion is located right on the harbour at Clovelly. Our room was perfectly positioned on the 2nd floor to capture the 180 degree view across the harbour, out to sea and further down the coast. Our room was very spacious, the bed and pillows were super comfortable, comfortable armchairs and coffee table in the bay window allowed us to sit comfortably with a cup of tea (not on the bed) and take in the views. The bay window had opening doors (great for enjoying fresh air!!) onto a large balcony, so we had the choice to sit in or outside. The bathroom was lovely with a very large shower, with a wall niche so that we had somewhere to put our toiletries, soap, etc. These little things really make the difference when you're staying away from home and we really appreciated their attention to detail and practicality. The food in the restaurant and bar was very enjoyable and breakfasts were cooked to our liking (loved the Eggs Benedict with perfectly cooked poached eggs!!). Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We rated our stay 10 out of 10 and would highly recommend.

It was really good vacation place. Especially for families who has got an kids, it's brilliant. Check-in and check-out process was really smooth and easy. The house was pretty good and we loved that peacocks (they are little bit noisy). I can just say they should be fix that pressure of the bathroom taps, because that small electric heaters are not enough for this kind of place. That's why we mostly has been got our showers in the leisure centre. But we loved this quite and well place and of course we will gonna be there again soon. PS; they does not allow to do any barbeque by visitors but still you can made by tasty foods oven freezer, fridge and other applicances which you can find in your home. Indoor swimming pool and leisure centre was good as well, you can park your car front of your door! I really asked myself, why are we lives so far from this place? I would like to go there every weekend! And please don't skip bike riding at the Tarka Trail!
