The staff were incredible and very helpful- very friendly too. The hotel itself was stunning- very cosy and beautiful. Like a fancy but historical vibe. The breakfast was amazing and we got to eat it in a beautiful dining room.

The staff were amazing, as a family with a young child, travelling can be stressful. The staff made every interaction joyful and stress free. The surrounding area is beautiful as well. The food was unreal, every meal we had was absolutely brilliant.

A fabulous place to stay in Pickering. My room was extremely comfortable with good facilities and bathroom. Luxurious linen and large towels with daily servicing of the room. The hostess couldn't be more friendly or hospitable, welcoming you as you arrive with a lovely pot of tea and biscuits and providing you with a cool drink when you return after a long hot day of sightseeing. Nothing is too much trouble for her as she takes great care of her guests. The back garden is a lovely restful and pretty retreat in the afternoon/early evening. The off-street parking situated inn the house grounds is a real bonus and I was also able to leave my car there after I checked out while I went to visit Pickering Castle. Breakfast is a real treat with lots of yummy options and a scrumptious cooked to order hot meal.

A good-sized spacious room, with plenty of space for clothes. The bed was very comfy. I had to leave early morning to attend a function, and the host kindly cooked me a breakfast before her normal start time. The breakfast was delicious, and set me up for the day in the open air!

We had a very comfortable room with good facilities. We slept very well. The service was excellent, the staff very friendly. We had a great breakfast and a delicious dinner in the restaurant. The beer was also very good. All in all we were very satisfied, the price was fair and we would be happy to come back.

I actually only booked here because I was travelling through and needed a place to stop in the area, but I'd return again without hesitation – and stop for dinner next time! Friendly staff, a beautiful location, and the garden rooms were wonderful. Plenty of space, comfortable beds, and the fresh milk for tea was much appreciated. I couldn't fault a thing.
