The room was clean, spacious and well heated, the double bed was comfy, the private bathroom was elegant and clean. Breakfast was included in my deal and I could choose among plenty of options for a cooked breakfast (in addition to the standard buffet). The location was great, just 10 minutes walk from the train station.

Overlooking Lancaster Canal, Toll House Inn is just metres from shops and restaurants. It has free Wi-Fi access, a bar and a restaurant. Toll House Inn is a historic building with bedrooms.

The Toll House Inn is well decorated and quaint. The rooms are clean and neat with extras like a hairdryer and hangers included. The bar/restaurant was busy but never noisy. Breakfast was wonderful and portions are large. We would have loved to stay for longer and would go back any time.

The place is just amazing. Beautiful surroundings, incredible staff, clean and comfy rooms!! Honestly we will definitely come back!! PS. I would suggest to anyone staying at Thurnham Hall, if you want to eat at the Lemon tree make sure to book well in advance, I unfortunately naively thought I would be able to book a table a day before and lost the opportunity to dine there (completely my fault).

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Service – Truly Above and Beyond I arrived late at the Royal Heysham Hotel and was checked in by Maddy, who was absolutely fantastic from the moment I walked through the door. I had just purchased a brand-new motorcycle and was understandably anxious about leaving it parked on the road overnight due to the risk of theft. Maddy completely understood my concern and went above and beyond to help me find a safe and secure solution for the bike. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She was genuinely helpful, proactive, and incredibly reassuring at a time when I was tired and stressed after a long journey. Her attitude and willingness to help made a huge difference and left a lasting impression. The hotel itself was beautiful, spotless, and extremely close to the ferry — which was perfect for my trip back to the Isle of Man. I genuinely had no idea this hotel was there, despite travelling back and forth for years, and I’m so glad I discovered it. Maddy is an absolute credit to the hotel — professional, kind, and clearly someone who truly cares about guests. Exceptional service like this is rare and deserves recognition. I will definitely be staying here again next time I’m in the UK. Highly recommended.
