The owner and her husband were great and friendly! We were hiking the Parenzana trail and when we got caught in a rainstorm and my wife injured her leg, they were kind enough to pick us up from the next town. The delicious breakfast on the amazing balcony was perfect!

We liked the quietness of the little town. The accomodation is in an old stone building in the centre of the town. The place has a very nice atmosphere. Our children and we liked the pool which was quiet and lot of times only we were to use it. The host, Silvano is a very friendly local man who is happy to help, give advice or just have a casual chat with you.

My 4th stay here, so I can only repeat: I have been traveling in Croatia since many years - meanwhile in all 21 counties (županije incl. Zagreb) - and I must have stayed in more than 30 different guesthouses and hotels. From the smallest family pension in the countryside to large 4-star hotels. And the Boutique Hotel Vela Vrata was one of my very best experiences ever! :D Beautiful, lovely decorated house and very clean room with nice furniture. This time I treated myself to the Junior Suite with balcony and the large room with its beautiful antique mirror is really a hit! Very friendly staff, SUPER breakfast with fresh and high quality food from a large selection!!! :D Well working WiFi, free parking and I also like the big indoor pool very much. Buzet itself is very romantic and beautiful. This time I have stayed for two nights on my way home to Dalmatia. The Hotel has a really supreme restaurant and it was wonderful to eat again one of the best dinner I had ever in Croatia. Another perfect stay and I will quite sure stay here again.
