Very warm and cosy atmosphere in the bedroom but also in the common area 2 very nice and clean onsen are available We felt at home and had a great stay :) The breakfast is great !! One of my favorite place in Japan !

It was exceptional. The staff was so welcoming, the place is out of this world. The rooms were just incredible, and I am not talking about the dinner and the onsen, yet…. Magical… we really felt in another era… we absolutely loved it.

About a 20-minute walk from the Nikko shrines, Annex Turtle Hotori-An is situated next to the Daiya river and green forests. It features hot spring baths with river views.

Incredible experience. We loved the traditional bedding and the beautiful multi course dinner was amazing. The onsen was just like the photos, so stunning. Expensive for a family of five but worth it as it was a real highlight of our trip.

Hotel Sunshine Kinugawa is located next to Kinugawa River, just a 6-minute drive from Kinugawa Onsen Train Station. It features various entertainment facilities like karaoke and table tennis.

Arriving at the Hotel I was met by a receptionist who brought me into the lobby and introduced me to the desk staff . They in turn booked me in and showed me the facilities and told me all I needed to know about the hotel. I was then taken up to my room by a staff member who showed me around the room/apartment. Arriving for dinner I was shown to my table and was told about the menu and how to cook portions of my dinner . This was repeated at breakfast . The experience of staying in a traditional Japanese Hotel was amazing and this was due to the professional standard of the staff who were so friendly and welcoming . Delightful quaint and quiet pension. Exceptional service from the hosts who went over and above to ensure we had an enjoyable trip to Nikko. Absolutely exceptional. The history almost jumps at you through the walls. The staff were kind and attentive. Apparently Japanese people come here just to take photos and tours of the hotel. Everything was beautiful, elegant, and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to nikko The snow made everything even more magical.
