One of the most beautiful guesthouses I've stayed at in all Japan. The view from the cafe/bar and the rooms is incredible. It's an old building that has obviously been restored with a lot of love and care. And the guys running it are really kind and helpful people.

Back in 2019 I stayed at 123 hotel Fukuyama. It was not available this year, so I got this instead. Honestly, I don't regret it. Everything was an upgrade. The room is big, the bed comfortable and the bathroom clean. I honestly have nothing to gripe about. This booking was a bull's eye.

The staff is so friendly and the thai restaurant delicious. It feels very cozy and authentic and the view from the hotel rooms it breath-taking: it's basically at the top of the mountain, but also built into the mountain, so you can oversee whole of Onomichi and nearby islands. I can really recommend staying here if you plan on coming to Onomichi, just be aware of the few steps you have to take, but it is worth it!
