We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our family of 4 (2 teens). The service was impeccable. Genuinely caring and thoughtful staff. Knowledgeable about the surroundings, food and wines. We had drinks in the lounge with a roaring fire and there were boardgames to play. The head-chef is such a great human. Spent time talking to our family about the wildlife and accommodated to our daughters on food. The rooms were well appointed. Slightly warm for our taste but was easily adjustable. The surrounding grounds are well kept, with great walking paths. There are bikes on site as well. There is a great pool (1.40) that is heated to 28 degrees. We didn't swim in it as there was a storm, but we would have gladly done so otherwise. The poolhouse allows for changing right next to the pool and in the summer months they serve light snacks there as well. We will definitely come back!

Hotel de Sterrenberg is located 450 metres from the entrance of the Hoge Veluwe National Park. It has an indoor swimming pool and fitness free to use for all hotel guests.

We received a very warm welcome and got a detailed explanation of the room right away. Breakfast was excellent – especially the fact that you can get an egg cooked exactly the way you like every day. The location is decent for Defqon, and Zwolle train station is super easy to reach. The hotel is located right by the shopping street, which is perfect for grabbing a snack or doing some shopping. We also really enjoyed the beautiful koi pond in the garden, which we admired every day because we love fish. Highly recommended for Defqon visitors! Definitely use the taxi driver recommended by the host – that was a real insider tip!

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay a lot. Family room was big enough for 2 adults and 2 teens. Really excellent breakfast and we were allowed to use coffee machine at the dining room any time, which is a big bonus. And very nice and helpful host. We got good hints for our day trip to Amsterdam and had also nice conversations comparing our countries etc. Would really recommend this B&B for everyone!
