Burgus hotel is a gem. The staff is great, always with a smile. The location is superb, right in the middle of Braga. The breakfast is excellent and served at the table at the time you requested in advance. The personell takes care of the details and are helpful. The rooms are great - and many with a nice view of the city roofs including the Cathedral’s towers. In short, a great hotel. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was a full continental-style breakfast with many breads, cereals, and cakes as well as the famous Portuguese favorite pastel de nata. Juices, fresh fruits (at least 5 or 6 types) yogurts, teas & coffees. Quite a spread. And all included in the room price. Room was comfortable and clean to the corners. Maid service excellent. Location was ideal for me — just a short walk to the historic city center. Safe as could be. But the biggest gold star really goes to the staff, starting with the manager, Eduardo. He is friendly, efficient, and responsive to any inquiry. All the staff seemed to go above and beyond on numerous occasions — and always ready to answer touristy questions. Shout out to Teresa, J-Paul, Bruna, and Miguel! Stayed for 3 weeks, and was sad to go. One of my best hotel stays ever!
