The property is beautiful, in quiet village with a beautiful pool and next to the river. The property is also a restaurant that we knew and loved and this is why we came here in the first place. Very good mattress and very clean!!! The staff is super accommodating.

Excellent location - it was about 5 min walk to the bus station, maybe 10 with heavy luggage. Equally near to the historic centre with many different restaurants. The room was very clean and of a good size for me, but I think the floor space might be a little tight for two or more big luggages. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, the hot water and shower pressure were great, and I also appreciate that there was a shower curtain. There was no hairdryer in the room but I could borrow one (a rather powerful one) from the front desk. Excellent WiFi. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, especially the lady on evening/night duty.

Absolutely perfect, every detail is designed with the guest's comfort in mind, starting with the signposts leading to the hotel. It's a family-run place, but it's managed every bit as professionally as big five-star hotels, it's spacious and squeaky clean, and still feels very homely. And the people are so lovely and attentive! The exterior swimming pool is large and clean, and the home-made jams for breakfast were fantastic!

The 4-star Villa Batalha features a bar with views towards UNESCO World Heritage-listed Batalha Monastery.
