We loved this pension. Anna is a most wonderful host and Igor is a superb chef. The breakfasts were the best we have had in all of our many stays in Europe. Dinner each evening was a memorable feast. Our room had a delightful view of mountains and rooftops. It was beautifully decorated, complete with sparkling chandelier, was very spacious and super clean. This is a gem in the Tatras, close to so many wonderful places to visit and enjoy. This was our second time here, and we hope it will not be our last. Thank you so much for such wonderful memories.

Although no English was spoken, the owners are very kind and helpful. We managed with a little German and pointing. The room was spacious and clean with an excellent hot shower and comfortable beds, and the breakfast buffet was generous and delicious.

Location is excellent, because many long hiking routes start from Popradske pleso, and if you don't want to walk in the morning extra 4km from parking to the start - staying in this hotel is perfect option. We had double room with a lake view and big private bathroom. They serve breakfast from 6:00 and breakfast is very rich, they serve even prosecco! In the evening restaurant and bar are open until 21 and 22, you can seat in common rooms, everything is very cosy! If you want to start your hike earlier, you can ask "grab and go" breakfast.

Just 300 metres from the Jakubova lúka Ski Centre, this apartment house can be found 1 km from the centre of Starý Smokovec.
