Victorian House ligt in Grasmere, op 12 km van Windermere. Het biedt beperkte parkeergelegenheid en wordt aangeboden op basis van wie het eerst komt, het eerst maalt. Great breakfast, comfy bed. Quiet even though we had the front room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights there.

The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. Prachtige locatie middenin de natuur en heuvels. Groot en gezellig huis met alles wat je nodig hebt. Ruime slaapkamers met elk een eigen badkamer. Er was een probleem met de slaapplek voor 1 persoon, maar het personnel loste dit binnen een mum van tijd op door een gratis overnachting in het hotel aan te bieden. Ook ontvingen wij een lief kaartje en chocola voor wat wij aan het vieren waren, erg attent! Complimenten aan Rhian die daar werkzaam is.

Set in the village of Bowness, Latimer House Guest House offers 4-star accommodation with views of its surrounding gardens and of the village. The room was stunning, I couldn’t have asked for anything better and I had the best night sleep. The guest house is very safe and secure, which made me feel 10x more comfortable on my first solo trip. Barely a 5 minute walk down to the lakeside, with plenty bars and food places to choose from nearby

Highfield features great lake and mountain views and its own private car park. The beautiful rooms have en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The room was clean, cosy and had everything I needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location is perfect — close to shops, restaurants and public transport, yet quiet at night. Breakfast was fresh and varied. A pleasant, comfortable hotel with a warm atmosphere. I’d happily stay again.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Location, our room was comfortable, shower wonderful. Great breakfast and staff friendly. We’ve been here before and will return again

Set in 14 acres of landscaped grounds next to Furness Abbey, Abbey House Hotel offers luxurious rooms with historic features. Guests can enjoy free WiFi and free on-site parking. The room was warm and welcoming. We booked 50 minutes earlier, the receptionist said, The room is ready now. Beautiful grounds to walk around. Felt like one of the elites staying there to be honest. The breakfast was really good and plenty of choice as we sat in this amazing place for our breakfast. Staff are all lovely people. The cleaners were friendly and smiley. Really impressed by the whole experience will visit again.

Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa ligt in Ambleside, op 9,1 km van De Wereld van Beatrix Potter, en biedt accommodatie met een fitnesscentrum, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een... A perfect hotel to stay while visiting the Lake district. Location of the hotel is in the centre of town. We had a very comfortable suite, service was excellent, very nice Spa and very good restaurant with super friendly waiters. All together we had wonderful stay and plan to get back in the future.

Het hotel is perfect gelegen met uitzicht op Lake Windermere, op slechts een korte wandeling van het bruisende dorpscentrum van Bowness-on-Windermere en de boten die over Windermere varen, waardoor... Fantastic staff Fantastic and helpful food Fantastic and really good price, cocktails 🍸 brilliant as well hotel was full but no queues and service was instant 😀 I will definitely be going again

Ravenstone Manor is een 19e-eeuws herenhuis op een landgoed van 3 hectare op 5 minuten rijden van Bassenthwaite Lake. Mooi, proper hotel, vriendelijk personeel en zeer hondvriendelijk.
