This hotel is actually quite luxurious and great value for money. It exceeded my expectations.

It also houses a restaurant. Great location. Close to everything, but off the main noisy street by a few blocks. Friendly staff. Some rooms are very large with AC. It was fun to watch the monkeys playing outside of our window. We were here in November for the Pushkar Camel Fair.

Situated within 400 metres of Jagdish temple and 600 metres of Bagore ki Haveli, Hari Niwas Guest House features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Udaipur. It is a beautiful historical haveli run by a beautiful, generous and kind-hearted family. We felt it a privilege to be able to stay here with its rich history and charming architecture but it was more a privilege to meet this family. Their hospitality and attention to detail made us feel so welcome and no request seemed any trouble. They were beyond helpful to us when our travel was unexpectedly cancelled. This is more like a homestay than a hotel as we felt almost a part of the family and as if we were the only guests. This is a special skill to have. The hotel is in a fabulous location near the famous Jain temple. Our room had a cushioned balcony that allowed us to relax after a day of touring and enjoy the wonderful view of the temple. The room itself was charming with many interesting features, and was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the delicious poha for breakfast and Harshad's masala chai is a must. Shubhan took us on a 2hr tour of the fort where we learned so much about the history, culture and customs of the area. It was a fascinating tour and Shubhan is excellent company. I could go on much more about our stay. We loved every minute. I hope we have another opportunity to visit Jaisalmer so that we can meet up with this family again.
