The property features city and inner courtyard views, and is 500 metres from Palombaro Lungo. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. We stayed in one of the luxury rooms. We chose it not for the jacuzzi but for the view: the entrance of the room is in one of the village alley, but then you open the balcony door and you are at the edge of the world. Due to this position, I can imagine that this room is very quiet even in the main tourist season. We visited Matera in November, there where a few people but it was very enjoyable. Excellent breakfast and kind, welcoming staff. Recommended.

Giuseppe was a wonderful host making sure we were taken care of. Made lunch reservations and when we woke up we had fresh local pastries and mine gluten free waiting for us Will definitely be going again.

The sauna and bath were wonderful after a rainy day. The lady at the reception was really helpful. I recommend bringing hiking shoes and exploring the Murgia. The apartment is located on a street that is within a ZTL, but just before that we managed to park our car on the street for €14 for 3 days. Also, don’t miss trying the traditional fried peppers – it’s an absolute must!
