Open from March 2017, Hotel Monte is located a 2-minute walk from Watanabe Dori Subway Station and a 15-minute walk from the lively Tenjin area. It offers cosy accommodation with free WiFi. The location was great since it was just 2 blocks away from the Watanabe-Dori station and around 15 mins away from Tenjin station. There was a Family Mart across and a 711 a few blocks away. It's also walking distance from major malls in the Tenjin area such as Mitsukoshi and Daimaru. There's even a hospital across the building. You can also walk from the hotel to the Nakasu food stalls or Canal City. The hotel room was more spacious compared to other hotels in Japan. There were also free amenities such as hair brushes, hair ties, cotton swabs/pads, bath wipe, as well as unlimited coffee and tea at the lobby. The ice machine and vending machine at the lobby was also convenient if you prefer to drink in your rooms. The breakfast area was large, although the actual food options were a bit limited considering the size of the hotel. Still, the food options changed each day and the actual meals were quite delicious. The staff was also very accommodating and made a lot of effort to make sure that the guests were comfortable during their stay. We had a great stay and will consider booking here again if we return to Fukuoka.
